There's after hours trading? shows how much I know about the stock market.
Is the 600 point drop going to show tomorrow morning?
Would it be smart to sell and hold tomorrow or is it too late?

It's called index futures.

If you are asking about selling tomorrow etc...you shouldn't be investing.

Unless you're retiring tomorrow and you stupidly had all your investment in stocks, I wouldn't panic. The people who made the most money in the rebound from our recession were those that bought at the bottom.

I wonder what is in store for both the UK and EU. Does Scotland vote to leave the UK, or at least decouple their currency from the pound. In terms of the EU, what does Germany do? They are the economic engine of the EU, will they want to be responsible for basket cases like Greece and Portugal?

Markets are volatile, if it's your IRA and you don't need it for a long time, don't bother watching the market the next week or two.

If you have cash, you may find some names you like.

The funny thing is I had a feeling this was going to happen and was thinking about selling but didn't get to do it. Oh well, I guess the train has left the station and we'll have to wait for the next one. As a matter of fact I do have some savings and will defintely go in if and when this thing crashes.

I trust John Oliver on the matter. He's a funny MF'er with a great research team. Plus he was born in England. With my lack of knowledge on this stuff, that's all I need.

Buy and hold. Don't worry about short term dips, just put in a monthly amount (stretch a bit is my advice) and don't try and time the market.

Very smart by Britons.

British policy will be set in Westminster tailored to the needs and wants of Britons..

Not by Germany through Brussels tailored to the needs and wants of Germany.

All they have to do is have economic policy that is slightly less stupid than the EU and investors will rush into the UK.

In the short term there will be chaos caused by Elites panicked by a boogeyman they created.

Stay Calm and Carry On Great Britain.

The damn thing seemed like a house of cards anyways. A bunch of richer, more industrious nations holding together the rest of the poorer European countries. I guess the purpose was to tie them all together so there wouldn't be any future wars between European countries, but instead once the economy goes south in one nation everyone feels the pain.

The resignation itself isn't surprising, what is surprising is the timing. I figured that Cameron would stick around for a couple of weeks, for the sake of stability.

Even though the European Union is not perfect, I'd take a common market, a common currency, a common budget, lack of borders, etc. over a fractured Europe and everything it entails. We just can't ignore history. People take the EU for granted. Yes, Germany is very powerful in this union, but it should be powerful.
