Highly likely isn't a done deal.

A legally binding referendum requires approval from Westminster.

The First Minister of Scotland does not have that power.

If Scotland leaves the SNP will be free to attempt to build their socialist paradise.

England (plus Wales and Northern Ireland) will have the Tories become the natural party of government.

We will then see in 25 years who was right.

Right, as if Westminster will stop what promises to be a popular nationalist movement within Scotland. They will join forces with the business interests that wish to remain in the EU>

Scotland's first minister has said a second independence referendum is "highly likely" after the UK voted to leave the EU.

Nicola Sturgeon said it was "democratically unacceptable" that Scotland faced the prospect of being taken out of the EU against its will.

She said the Scottish government would begin preparing legislation to enable another independence vote.

I have news for you. The Scots have their own nationalist movement, and they were hoping for an opening like this.

Yep. Those are my people and it's been exciting to watch things develop.

The UK right now is at its weakest economically and militarily. If the Scots wanted to leave there is really nothing to stop them.

Where's William Wallace when you need him?

My grandmothers maiden name was "Bruce", so I'm down for Scottish independence!
