I see... so no one from our main core of potentials (DLo, JC, Ingram, Randle) so that nobody in that group looks favorited. And yet, don't hand the locker to some scrub either. |

I personally don't know how basketball does it. I'm sure there's some kind of unwritten rule.
For hockey, in a room filled with 20+ guys, they usually give the good spots to vets. So if someone as legendary as Kobe is gone, I would assume the next "vet" gets it.

I'm pretty sure Kobe doesn't have a locker though. Like, I think they rotate lockers over time.
If you look at this photo, you can see Kobe has his locker in between Boozer and Nick Young from the 2014-2015 season.

But if you look at this photo from 2011, you'll see Kobe has an end unit locker, with a wall as his neighbor.

I think they move the lockers around each year, and perhaps, they put the captains next to each other which is why Kobe and Boozer were together one year but then Kobe had his locker elsewhere a couple years prior. |
