|
|
Quote: | Despite years of speculation about Durant possibly signing with his hometown Washington Wizards or the Los Angeles Lakers, a person with knowledge of his situation told USA TODAY Sports that those two teams are not expected to land a meeting with the former MVP. As it stands, it's the six aforementioned teams coming Durant's way at a location that has not yet been determined.
The New York Knicks have earned their way onto Durant's radar, having traded for Derrick Rose recently to create quite the combination with Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis. Yet as of now, it remains to be seen how that particular scenario will be handled. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the private nature of the situation. |

Guess it's good if he saves our time unlike Melo, Aldridge situation in last two years. We could go for realistic targets right away. _________________ Showtime 2.0 |

Derrick Rose, Carmelo, Durant, Porzingis.
If theyre all healthy that's probably 2nd best team in the East. |

Every single one of the teams on his list are contenders and the teams possibly getting a meeting are also playoff teams from last year. The only team that will get a meeting it seems like who aren't a playoff team last year is Ny, but that's because they have players he likes a lot on the roster (Porzingis, Rose) and one of those players NY just traded for in hopes to make themself more marketable in free agency.
To me it's obvious he is going to Golden State or staying in OKC. No other team has a realistic shot imo. |

This is a case where I never thought KD would come to the Lakers to play along side a group of rookies... _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

Not surprising. He wants to play for a contender. |

Or Clippers or Knicks.
Maybe he doesn't want to be on the team with Durant 2.0. |

Good. KD cost them that series by not showing up in game 6. Definitely on the decline. |

We can get our revenge by signing Westbrook next year. |

I'd pull for KD to win a title anywhere, but Golden State. Had them down 3-1 and not being able to close them out, then ditching your fans to join them. That is weak in my book. I can feel the OKC fanbase pain if that were to happen. |

I'm down with this plan. Hope Jim and Mitch leave flexibility for a max contract next year. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

He has a meeting with Boston. You'd be ok with a title there? _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

If KD leaves and Westbrook let's them know that he's going to do the same next season, they may blow it up and trade Russ... |

Looks like Kobe, Dwight, Nash and Gasol all over again. And in some ways it's worse because at least Kobe and Gasol won rings. Rose reminds me of Nash with the injuries and Carmelo reminds me of Dwight-another big name who never won anything. In fact Carmelo has won less than Howard. |

KD will be coward if the goes to Boston and plays in the weak eastern conference. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |
