The Golden State Warriors plan to hire Mike Brown to replace Luke Walton as Steve Kerr's top assistant, league sources told ESPN.

The former Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers coach emerged as Golden State's top choice after the team interviewed a handful of candidates, including holding meetings with the Charlotte Hornets' Stephen Silas and Portland Trail Blazers' Nate Tibbetts during the playoffs.

RIP Warriors dynasty.

Even we're ahead of Mike Brown in tech. We moved up to USB flash drives this year.

Whenever we say that about a coach, its because we don't feel like arguing with people who support that coach because it isn't worth the effort. So instead of saying he sucks fully, we say, he is out of place, and should really be an assistant and offensive or defensive coordinator.

Mike personality makes him a perfect assistant. But in a lead role, he's a total pushover.

Assistant and head coach are very different jobs. He has the brains, the likeability, and the energy to do very well in the assistant role.

Imagine if Kerr needs to take time off again and Brown becomes interim head coach.

"Slow it down."

Warriors invert their previous season's record to go 9-73.
