YEP
Getting Calderon, for basically nothing, was a sweet deal. We desperately needed a player with his skill-set. |

Calderon >>> Farmar/Blake/Price/Fisher.
We finally have a true general PG on the team who will rarely make mistakes and help us with his savvy game. |

D.Fish earned my respect. Calderon signing was great but not better than Mr. 0.4s |

You can't go wrong with either Calderon or Fisher just depends who you like more. |

D-Fish earned his stripes through the years. He will go down in Laker lore.
Calderon doesn't have enough left in the tank to outshine Fisher as a Laker. |

I like what Calderon brings to the table and he may be our best point guard running an offense, but I don't think he is starting material on a winning NBA program. It's nice to have such a player on the roster while our young PG of the future is adapting to the NBA game/position. |

Will Calderon be available when it's go time? I wish we could have seen how he ran the 2nd unit a bit more in pre-season. |

Quote: | Veteran point guard Jose Calderon, who came over from the New York Knicks, has dealt with a calf injury as of late.
According to Mark Medina of the Orange County Register, he should be a go for the opener: "Lakers guard Jose Calderon has sat for the past week (left calf), but is expected to return for the season opener against Houston."
An important depth piece behind Russell, Calderon will continue to battle Marcelo Huertas for playing time in the rotation. |

Jose Calderon's NBA journey lands him in Los Angeles
Quote: | For Los Angeles Lakers guard Jose Calderon, a life in basketball came naturally, even though the culture around him was focused on another sport.
"When I was little, everyone else was playing soccer at that time," Calderon explained. "My dad played basketball and that's why I always had a basketball at home. I tried to start following him, going with him to practice and to games -- that's how I got interested." |

Depends on what you want. Huertas is the better playmaker, but can still shoot the lights out. |
