I gotta say people don't realize how much we could have used Calderon today, we really need him back. |

He's definitely an upgrade over Huertas. Guys just run away from Huertas when he had the ball because he's not a threat offensively.

Calderón running the 2nd unit would give it more bite. He's basically the same player as Huertas but with an outside shot. |

Calderon is better by a wide margin. Not just in shooting but in passing as well. He has a career avg 6.5 apg. |

He also makes the big plays more so then Huertas, honest speaking
I'm getting kinda tired of watching Huertas play... I rather have had a Chalmers and Calderon combo. |

Man no one likes Huertas. He had the highest +/- tonight with a +13. THe first game he was at a +5...You can argue that he's playing against second units but that's what he is on the team for as a BACKUP.
Small sample size but he def changes the game when he comes in. I don't understand why fans don't want him to play or want to get rid of him. he is a good backup PG.
There is no way you can say Calderons Defense is better than Huertas. They are the same and anyone who says otherwise is playing favorites.
Is calderon a better shooter? Yes
Is Huertas a better playmaker? Yes ....Even Luke said Huertas is best playmaker on the team
I dont understand why we wouldn't play him as a backup when in both games he has improved the lead while hes on the floor. |

Calderon hasn't even played a game. What big plays are you talking about. Huertas has played 2 games and has changed the dynamic in both. |

I'll be glad to see Jose back on the court next game because he has not played enough for me to gauge what he actually brings to this team.
He does have PG skills and a good shot. I hope we get our money's worth.
IMO Huertas has played a little better, at this point, than he did last season.
He has great passing skills and has not really hurt our effort so far.
They'll eventually split playing time at the back-up PG spot. It's really not a bad problem to have; Luke will figure it out. |

I much prefer Calderon than Huertas. In pre-season I thought the second-unit looked good with Calderon as the PG. _________________ Coach MWP. |

Excited to see Calderon, if he can hit 2-3 3's every game it will end up helping us in a significant way, not to mention he's a very good creator for others and in fact is way more better then Huertas cause he makes less mistakes. |

It's very unlikely he'll be the same player if he returns. Achilles injuries are career enders. |

It's going to take a few games for Calderon to get back into game shape.
He looked rusty tonight. I hope he doesn't turn out to be an episode of LA Steve Nash 2.0 |

If he misses his threes there is no reason for him to be out on the court. Huertas is a better facilitator, and it's not like calderon brings anything defensively.
It's not entirely his fault. We need to try to get more fast breaks where calderon runs to one of the corners so he can get a three point attempt. Half court offense where he gets a half contested three and has to hesitate for a split second to decide what to do is never a good shot... _________________ Kobe |

Awaiting him to be fully healthy and up to game speed. Anyone judgign him off today is far too quick to make a snap decision. The guy didn't play but a few minutes in pre-season and was out the other times.
Tonight was his first game back and he played brief minutes cause he's still getting into the groove/getting his legs.
Learn patience. |

Looking forward to seeing if Calderon has shaken of any of the rust. Hopefully he'll get a few minutes out there to loosen up and get back in game shape. |

Missed the game tonight.
How did my whipping boy Calderon do?
Looking at the box score, I see he hit some shots and turned the ball over a little too much. And his +/- wasn't friendly (again).
But like I said, I missed the game. Was he a positive on the floor compared to what we've seen from Huertas? _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

What I liked about what he did is that he actually hit his open shots unlike many other players today _________________ Kobe |

He has a shot and knows how to run an offense. He can be fairly solid in limited minutes. |

Jose Calderon was resurrected from the pine and filled in admirably.
He actually played fairly decent in a limited capacity for 13 or so minutes.
5 points w/ 3 assists, not bad at all. Of course his defense was nothing special but no one seemed to be a defensive stalwart last night.
The Spurs are just a very good team but we played them tougher than most.
Proud of our overall team effort. |
