Welcome to the Lakers.....thanks for coming here.

Many teams wanted him (including Warriors and Spurs). He didn't hesitate and entertain other teams/offers.....but signed here right after talking to Luke on the phone at 12:01.

Hope he has a bounce back season and shuts the haters up. End of the day, he's our guy now and it's in the best interests of the team and for us if he does.

You're like a Bernie supporter who was still holding out hope that Hillary would get indicted.

Two scenarios:

A) The Lakers FO know something the general public doesn't; that Mozgov is one of the better non-star starting centers available on the market this year. They know the reasons behind his statistically down year and have done enough homework to know that it will not be a concern moving forward. Behind closed doors, Mozgov was a high priority target for a number of teams with significant competition, and the Lakers needed to act fast and overpay him slightly in order to get him.

If he passes his physical, that means that all of the unfounded concern trolling about his so-called bum knee being a permanent issue are bogus, and we can expect him to return to form as a solid two-way starting center.

B) Mitch and Jim are morons and signed a cripple who can't play anymore without doing any research, and need to be saved by the fact that his condition is literally so bad that he fails his physical.

If he fails his physical, then the deal is nixed. The FO is not only exposed as incompetent idiots who really have no idea what they're doing, they also now have to find a starting center with nobody left on the market.

Let's put aside which one is actually the case. Are you genuinely HOPING for the latter?

I don't mind the signing. The terms of the deal are a bit head scratching, but he is a big who is competent in the pick and roll, a good rim defender and should deliver significant rebounds. He also helps add a diversity to the roster and an option for Walton to go with a big lineup. Black gives us the flexibility to go with a smaller more athletic line up. It gives the team the opportunity to look for and exploit favorable match ups.

Wait, so you're saying he still flops? If he can make Joey Crawford do this then I'm ok with it. Doesn't make the deal agreed on any more palatable.

Before West hollywood became a gay mecca, it was a super russian neighborhood and still has a few russian deli's and stuff between sunset and santa monica- I live like 4 blocks from there.

The lakers front office hasn't been right about much in the last 5 years.....outside of of Phillie, we are the only organization that has gotten worse every year for the last 5 years

Why, it isn't your money. And the Lakers still have cap space left. That makes no sense at all.

Glad we were able to fill a hole in our roster with a guy who is good at some of the offensive and defensive skills that Luke will ask from him. He should be a very good fit.

Not right about Clarkson, Randle, DLO or Ingram? They are right much more often than you are here.
