Sometimes I wonder why we don't go to him more. Luke should play him some at the end of games as well we were getting killed on the boards in crunch time _________________ My Dream Starting 5 next Season

Moz has an incredible knack for missing dunks lol
Maybe because he tries to hammer it down on any play he's near the basket --- no complaints from me on that. |

Why does Mozgov get so few rebounds? Is he not hustling on defense? |

And he's constantly out of position from having to help guys getting beat off the dribble. |

Agreed
We should use him more. Except for a missed dunk every game he runs the floor well, is a strong finisher, has a dependable jump shot and can be trusted shooting free throws.
Can it be a stamina problem? I don't remember Mozgov playing heavy minutes in any team. |

Yup that was tough at the end. After both the layup off the Westbrook drive and the putback by Adams, I saw Mozgov glance over to Luke from the bench and kind of shake his head knowing that he probably could've made a difference. It's good to see those emotions from him though and wanting to be in, and I hope Luke would leave him in in late game situations for more rim protection and rebounding. _________________ In Rob I trust. |

I am officially impressed with Mozy. Great ability to run the floor, an legit 7 footer, decent stroke from 15ft, excellent FT shooter. He even secured low post position vs. Kanter super deep so you know he's got strength in dem legs.
Wasn't initially keen on the signing but his play has turned me around. Great pickup! |

Mozgov should be in at the end of the game for every game from here on out imo _________________ Kobe |

So, how's Mozgov been so far compared to Mahinmi, Bogut, Ezeli, Pachulia or Biyombo?
I'd say we picked the right available Center |

Bogut 4/10/1.1blk/41FG% in 26MPG
Zaza 4.6/6.3/.21blk/53FG%/17MPG
Biyombo 6/8/1.6blk/50FG%/23MPG
Mozgov 9/5/0.7blk/61FG%/22MPG
Mahinmi and Ezeli yet to play. _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though." |

He was last night until they exploited him in the pick and roll. Then they moved Nance to small ball center and things didn't really improve. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Yeah Mozgov's one weakness, as many predicted going into the year, is his PnR defense. A big part of how Russ got going last night. _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' I remember a guy in this thread salty that we didn't go after Cole Aldrich before Mozgov |

I think of him as our improved version of Chris Mihm. He's better at hitting a variety of shots on the low block, is more authoritative on dunks, and runs the floor and is more mobile on the perimeter (much more).
He's like Super Mihm.
I know this much. I'll take Mozgov and whatever flaws he has AND Zubac (should he have to fill in) over Hibbert and Sacre, who was worthless. No question. I'm not nearly as vexed on a nightly basis about our C than I was for the last few years. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL

He runs the floor really well. That fast break dunk with Julius pushing the tempo bought me memories of Pau and Odom. |

His value will be shown when we make the playoffs.. and he seems to like the spotlight so we haven't seen the best of Mozilla |
