Alright....which one of you nerds is playing this (bleep)!?
I am....! I've been completely hooked on this and I've jogged/ran about 10 miles a day since it came out. _________________ Don't let perfect be the enemy of good |

Played the Beta. Wasn't impressed.
If I'm going to play Pokemon, I'm just going to stick with the main games on the 3DS. _________________

I think this game is the first widely adopted game that actually gets people up and off their butts.
I've read stories of people with social phobias, and others that are really overweight, heading outside to catch pokemons.
I'm playing it just to check it out and see what it's all about, and I think the concept is incredible. And if this is where we are on day 1 with augmented reality type of gaming, I can't wait to see what we're doing 2-5 years from now. |

I CAUGHT A CHARMANDER.
I REPEAT I CAUGHT A CHARMANDER.
Normandie Ave and 139th St. right outside of Froggy's Bar.
I repeat, it was a charmander. |

I was a big Ingress player l, so pokemon go was a natural step. The game is fun and certainly is less drive able than Ingress, which is a good thing. The constant server issues are annoying as he'll, though. |

I wonder if there is a way restaurant owners can take advantage of poke stops if they have them? Just deploy lures on your poke stop all day long. I know I've stopped and sat at a couple of restaurants that had lures going myself. |

I caught a Pidgey while taking a dump. It was sitting right in front of me, staring and everything. I took a screen shot of it. The Pokemon, of course. |

DL'd.
In 1hr 20mins in collected:
Charmander (default), Rattata, Ekans (2), Sandshrew, Venonat, Paras (ran away ), Growlithe (2), Tangela, Eevee, Mankey, Onix, Nidoran, & Pidgey.
Onix was hard. I used up half my stash of pokeballs...
Must've ran 5kms (5 different Pokestops then doubled back) _________________ Character

You collect them and battle them at "gyms". These are shown on the gps module and can be anything from churches to schools. _________________ Don't let perfect be the enemy of good |

...and parks. I know this cuz I took my daughter out today specifically for some Pokemon hunting together. Didn't realize you can run out of balls. Imagine my disappointment.

BTW, don't use the camera view. Digital view is almost a sure shot every time. |

I don't know if this thing will have legs or if people will lose interest fast, but damn if it isn't a genuine phenomenon for now at least. I've seriously seen hundreds of people playing this game the last two days (it helps that I've been playing a lot and have been going to "lures" like they're Jessica Alba doing her Sin City strip tease) and there are currently packs of kids and adults walking around my area, playing right now. It's nuts. |

That has to be the dumbest plan ever. Unless I'm an aberration, people don't exactly carry a ton of valuables besides their phone with them when they play. And if they jack the phone, the gps provides a nice, easy way for police to track them down. And unlike normal cell phone theft which police give zero (bleep) about, armed robbery of multiple people will get cops off their asses quickly. |

I already hate the players of this game, they wander around aimlessly with their heads down, get in my (bleep) way and don't give a flying (bleep) that they're doing it. I'm not going to shed any tears when the first person gets run down by moronically wandering across a street chasing after an Abra or whatever. |
