Even worse when its like 1 quarter of play against even worse scrubs. |
That's because they overvalue the play in Summer league. These guys the Lakers are playing against will most likely end up driving beer trucks or work in Taco Bell after the games are over. |

Just wait till a real nba team (unlike this gs warrior sl team) puts him in a defensive pick n roll on the perimeter situation. Won't be pretty. |

Surprisingly mobile and athletic for a knot-kneed big man. He actually runs the floor really, well not to mention he's aggressive and tries to assert himself on both ends of the Floor. He truly has an NBA players mentality, not to mention size and takes up a ton of space. IMO he was more active than I ever saw Sacre on our team.
Oh yeah and he can definitely execute a Pic-N-Roll...
Hoping he gets a look if not from the Lakers, he'll make a more than adequate backup on someone's team. |

Just unreal size. Yet, he has good agility and motor. Runs the floor well too.
Pretty active on defensive end. I don't know about his BBIQ, but being active with size and length alone can a lot of good on defensive end.
However, offensively, I saw him fumbling/miss handling some obvious passes... I smell Kwame's hand. He cann't shoot.
I read somewhere he shot FT at 30% clip.
He started bball when he was 17, so it is easy to assume he is fundamentally lacking. We just saw him committing silly foul, setting illegal screen and travelling in his lone post up try.
If he was 20 year old, I would give him a last spot on the roster to develop him in Dleague. But he is 23, soon to be 24 I think?, already.
I would definitely invite him to a summer camp though. |
It's sad because we can't keep him, and he will probably haunt us for years to come. |

I think Auguste will make the team. Fall has been a mild surprise, but I'm guessing he'll end up signing overseas and that we'll manage to maintain his rights. It was a very kind move by the staff to showcase him in the game against the Dubs. |

I kid.. |
Same here! I was about a half inch shorter but had great hops.
I was a high jumper on the track team so i would get blocks that people didnt think i could ...plus i have a great wing span. My hands were small so i could only dunk off lobs or tip dunks. But blocks, I loved those most of all ...my handle was mediocre so the way I got hyped was swats.
Its about timing, positioning and desire ... I wanted blocks so bad my teammates used to say I got happy feet on the weakside, shuffling in antcipation of the help swat or the block from behind ...

Fall has more upside while Auguste is who he is.
i'd go with fall |
So we waive Young and bring them both in. Both hit he dleague for further development and camp in case there is an injury... |
We have size and blocking in Moz/Zubac.
What we need is mobility and Fall isn't that. Auguste can guard PnRs and switch. |
Fall run the floor and moved in the paint pretty well last night, soft hands too (for the 5 minutes on the floor). Auguste is a nice hustle player but he's a poor man version of Randle... duplicate. I'd rather sign Fall and try to develop him |
Eh. It's a 4th center we're talking about. If it's Fall or Auguste, whatever.
I just like Auguste b/c he can play in today's NBA thanks to his quick feet. The thought of seeing a big guy like Fall on the perimeter against a guard is scary. |
I see Auguste as more of a 4 no? _________________ "Bryant has been the second best player in the NBA for over a decade, but the number 1 player changes every other year. Somehow the number 1 player always seems to fall down the list but Kobe just never moves up. ". The Art of Hating Kobe Bryant |

I agree. His ability to move his feet and switch is intriguing. Kind of reminds me a little of Dennis Rodman lite with his high energy, rebounding prowess, athleticism and funky-colored hair. Even has the broken shot. |

Will Lakers Take a Flier on France Behemoth?
Quote: | Lakers 7'2" Frenchman Moustapha Fall, 24, went undrafted in 2014, but he's used to being late to the party. The Paris-born hulk first picked up a basketball at 17—soccer was the only game he cared for until he was 14.
Fall comes with a massive 7'6" wingspan, a polished post game, savvy footwork and elbows that create space. He flashes a baby hook around the rim, using it to shoot a Pro A-best 73 percent from two-point range.
He signed with French club Elan Chalon for the 2016-17 season but has a manageable $150,000 NBA out clause, should the Lakers or rival teams wish to bring him over. |

He probably won't get a camp invite but he will make ten times more money playing overseas than he will with the D-Fenders. Good luck big fella! |
