Thanks OP. I see the fire burning in Randle, he truly wants to be a great player. He has clearly trimmed down a bit, and he should be even quicker than what we saw last year. I'm hopeful that he is going to work his arse off this summer to assure his starting PF spot. He's a competitive dude, I think it matters to him, and Nance has put him on notice.
Having Ingram, Russell, and Randle build on-court chemistry together under the tutelage of Popovic is a beautiful, beautiful thing. Fantastic warm up to Luke's first training camp. The young core is slowly being purged of the player-developmental sins of Byron Scott. Randle said the phrase "playing the right way" multiple times in the above interviews. What a stark contrast to wind sprints and "manning up."
he palms the ball on all of his dribbles and basically on his shots too. he likes that feel of making his hands big as possible and kind of palming it
here you can see it
see the wide hand when he crosses halfcourt, hes suspending the ball by palming it
here he is actually fully palming it
he just loves that feel of the wide hand kind of palming it. I think its why he has such unique touch on his shot, where he can not even extend the follow-through on his shot. he has like floater touch on his jumper, and I think it's because of the wide hand, semi palming of the ball --- like players do on floaters.
