I'm getting sick and tired of this team getting all this praise and being marked as a young up and coming team while we essentially get ignored or mocked, and yet we're pretty much in identical positions. This comes from the national media, and posters on LG too.

The three times we faced them last year were all close games and IMO we should have won 2/3 if it weren't for he who shall not be named.

I look forward to our matchups with them the most this year and I see them as our rivals going forward:

Contrasting styles
Same age group of talent
Same conference

Most I've seen people have their young talent ahead of ours, reasonable. But I have ours as edging them out, though it's close at the moment. I just want to beat those bastards (and every other team for that matter) and start putting some respeck on this team's name!

I think they are ahead of us. But we can't have all the talent in the world. However, I find it hard to believe that top FAs will flock to the Minnesota tundra ahead of the Lakers, once the Lakers are back in contention. That will always be our advantage.

Their young core of KAT/Wiggins/Dunn/Lavine/Dieng is quite formidable.

But yes, let's def take them out.

In the next 5 years, I see the emerging teams being Lakers, TWolves, Utah (may already be there), Phx in the West.

KAT > DLO

Wiggins = Ingram, but I think Ingram can be a more useful player down the road. Wiggins is more ready now.

Dunn/Rubio/Lavine/Dieng vs. JC/Randle/Zubac/Nance is probably a wash.

I dont mind the T-Pups. I just want to beat Boston, Portland and Sacramento. It would be nice to beat Golden State again, tho. I was smiling uncontrollably for a week.

its alright man.

teams like the wolves..teams who've never achieved much during their existence...this is the kind of praise they get. the standards they are held by. "young up and coming team"...things the media says to drum up interest for that team

Lakers? you already know the bar that is set for us. Rings or bust. at least, thats the impression i get.

Yup. And they've got a good thing going for them. But they did too with KG/Marbury and that yielded...nothing. The Minny location will always be a tough selling point.

I want to beat them. But I understand why most think they are ahead of us in terms of their rebuild.
They won more games than us last year. They have back to back ROYs. Thibs is a renowned regular season coach.

Boston and Minnesota are 2 teams we should challenge in terms of up and coming teams.

KAT - best two way rookie big since Tim Duncan
Wiggins - former ROY
Dunn - Probably the best guard from his class, two way player ready to contribute
LaVine - had numbers similar to Clarkson our young player with best stats
Rubio - Still young, can´t shoot, but is one of the best defenders at PG position, good rebounder and passer.

Experienced head coach

We cannot tell the level of talent is the same before the season starts, based on numbers from last season we are at least one notch bellow.

I don't want to be pessimistic, but as much as reality hurts BSPN were absolutely correct about our lack of talent past three seasons and I prefer to wait for the season start before making predictions about the development of our young core. I like what I've seen from Russell and Nance in summer league, but Wolves guys should improve too.

I hate to be on this position, I can care less about other teams being market as young and coming team, my only problem is with our own lack of overall quality. We are looking like the Clippers of the past and it hurts.

If we go 2-80, those 2 better be against the Celtics.

I think our young core is superior.

DLO is better than Dunn and younger too.
Clarkson is better than LaVine
Ingram will be 100 times better than Wiggins
LNJ and Julius are better than who ever they play at PF, KG?
KAT is much better than Ivac and Black

Thibs is ok if you like wind sprints, but the team will quit on him. Luke is far superior.

So really they are only better at center in my opinion. We will destroy them!!!!

Well, the Pups will probably be better on defense. But we will still destroy them!

Those 3 games we played last year were all neck and neck. So all the ROY awards don't mean much when I compare the two teams.

Both teams had terrible coaches but I think ours was worse and more of a negative.

Should be fun to play them this year!

In their last 32 games, they went 15-17 so close to .500 ball. They're a good distance ahead of us imo but that can close fast depending on how our guys progress (and I think our guys will surprise people).

won't matter. ingram will be better than all of them in a few years. and if he grows a few more inches? league is screwed. he'll be a match up nightmare every single time down the court. zubac will also be an all-star in 2-3 years.

Byron is statistically the worst coach of all time, so I think we get a much bigger bounce with our new hire.

Well they already have a set superstar in KAT. Russell is not a superstar, maybe not even an allstar yet. The Wolves have a big edge over us. They as well are about a year ahead of us. We next season will be what the wolves were last year. The Wolves I think are a playoff team next year and we have a chance next year. They're pretty deep in young talent.

Rubio - Dunn - Jones
LaVine
Wiggins - Shabazz
KAT - Bjelica
Dieng
