I voted 20-25 but could see us winning 25-30. I think the West will beat us down the first half of the season and the front office may start thinking they don't want to give philly a high pick so "experimentation" with lineups may happen to give younger guys more opportunity and we will stealth tank into a top 3 slot and hope lady luck is on our side again.

Nice imagery, "stealth tank".

Of course from what I see around LG, any team lurking under a .400 win rate by the end of December gets labeled as diving into the tank. Stealth route is pretty hard to pull off.

37 wins. Way higher than most predict, I think this team will look like crap early, but legitimately scare a few playoff teams and play .500+ by April.

I think the moment (usually by March) that other teams are tanking or surefire playoff teams are resting, we will start racking up wins at the end of the year b/c we won't be tanking.

The young guns are going to be that much better this season, but will it translate to wins is yet to be determined.
One of the biggest things I noticed last season was their inability to finish games so hopefully that will change this season!

I'm hoping for more than a few games where playoff teams sleep on the Lakers thinking it's an easy win, and go out partying hard the night before, especially those Sunday morning games.

Then we can also beat some tanking teams hopefully, as well as teams resting for the playoffs.

40+ wins doesn't neccesary mean only in the high 40's. ( for those who clicked on the option)

You can vote for the option and explain that we can win 50 games or 60.

As long as none of them try and take over games, they won't get benched and they will be able to try and close.

Whoops. Wrong coach.

Adding 10 wins, especially in the West, would be a pretty big jump. Go with 27.

EDIT: on 2nd thought, Byron cost this team at least 5 or 6 wins just by sheer ineptitude/outdated principles and as many as 10. Adding Mozgov and Deng plus another year for the young pups...

I'll go with 36.

I think there's the greatest probability for the Lakers to win 26 games, give or take one game.

There's probably only a one in ten chance to win more than 32 games, and similar odds to them winning fewer than 21 games. So that's 80% liklihood of the outcomes between 32 and 21 wins.

I anticipate seeing this almost exclusively based on a returning team weakness. It suggests very high likelihood of finishing among the league's bottom querter in terms of W-L record. The Lakers will be among the league's worst three point shooting teams again. One step at a time.

That was exactly my thought process. Goodness, Byron was horrible.

This will be the type of team where the current wins belie the projected upward growth of this team.

Minny had what, 29 wins last year? I could see us in that territory, but with increased optimism heading into the next season.

..... to almost double last years total would be quite an accomplishment for this young and upcoming team.

I can see this team winning at least around 25 games, just because of the change in atmosphere, coaching, and play style. Deng, and Mozgov, will add needed veteran leadership. The growth of the Lakers young players in Russell, Clarkson, Randle, and Nance will be evident. Ingram, and Zubac, seem full of promise, to say the least.

The only thing that concerns me is defense, and Russell's ability to balance scoring, and ball movement. Hopefully, Walton, Huertas, and Calderon, can help with that.

Basically what I have been saying in this article. Yes the Lakers will be improved but even with 10-13 win improvement we will still be at the bottom of the west. So yes I will be keeping an eye on the 2017 draft class too

Yep, and I despise Access Sports network breaking down the schedule game by game and having two idiots assign wins and losses. Most of it of course doom and gloom and losses. I don't get the entertainment.
