Watched literally every game from 1999-2010. Dropped to watching about ~50% of games after that until 2013 or so, and about 25% last few seasons. Mainly due to work schedule _________________ Billions Billions Billions

- Lakers fan for 34 years (I'm 42)
- Have every Laker playoff game on VHS from about '91 through '10 (copied over a lot of losses, though, especially series ending losses)
- Watched '10 Western Conference Finals from my daughter's birthing room
at the hospital (thankfully a few hrs before wife went into labor)
- Have unreasonable hate for almost everything Boston/Portland/Salt Lake City related, going beyond just their sports teams at this point
-Literally unable to sleep anytime Lakers facing elimination in any playoffs series, it was bad enough that I felt that I needed help (this one's pretty embarassing to admit). From 1987 to 2010. I've mellowed a bit, though.

Any fan that bothers to go to freaking summer league games is probably pretty hardcore.
Edited
Any fan that has an autographed Von Wafer card signed at the Pyramid is die hard.
Being almost beat up in Bakersfield by an injured Kwame Brown is die hard...just fyi, if you see Kwame in a crowd and yell "everyone duck, he's got a cake" it's not going to go over well.
Screaming at a rookie Bynum to box out (same Pyramid) and screaming at the ref's...only to be told by an old bald dude sitting next to mom named Joey Crawford...to "shut up kid you're ruining my game"....
Aaah the good old days of summer.
Knowing the Pyramid in Long Beach and Rabo Bank Arena in Bakersfield is die hard.
Why did The Show stop going to Bakersfield?
Vegas SPL instead of Long Beach, Ontario instead of Bakersfield.
Would be great if I still lived in Rancho Cucamonga.
I drove down to a Pre Season game in Fresno a few years ago, not sure if they do that anymore either.
Officially entering 33rd season as a Laker fan (grew up in another NBA city), but been a supporter since 1976-77 - was visiting family in LA and heard Chick Hearn calling the game on TV - mesmerizing!
1983-84 converted me - my hatred of the Celtics was such that I became a Laker fan in hopes that they would smash Boston, but that year's Finals (the Tragic Johnson Series, as my pals and I referred to it) bonded me to the team. I was happier than Jerry West when we won the 1984-85 series - I moved to LA two seasons later. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".
37 years here, I started faithfully following them from Magic's first (Laker) game...
Like Jerry West: it kills me when they lose, my wife HATES my mood after a Laker loss and there are times I have to turn games off, to stop the agony...
Saw Kobe play at the Pyramid... _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”
Been watching the Lakers since 98 when I was a child..I only use Laker player numbers for volumes on my TV and at work when I am designing a powerpoint presentation/ excel spreadsheet I use purple and gold a lot.
Let's just say that when the Lakers lose (excluding the last few years) nobody wants to be around me. And when the Lakers win? YOU GET A CAR. YOU GET A CAR! YOU GET A CAR! EVERYONE GOING HOME WITH CARS!!!!!!!

My family is a Lakers family, Russell Family lore is that Kareem Abdul Jabar was amongst the first words I spoke b/c my brother used to say it to me and make me repeat it (my mom said it sounded more like Kawee Dadoo Dabah).

So in other words, you are normal?
We will be back and names have been taken. You can believe that! Go Lakers! _________________ Love, Laker Lanny

Being a Laker fan is part of my identity. Eventually, this may change (although, perhaps not, considering that some in this thread have been fans longer than I've been alive).
I have a golden retriever that is named Mamba, I have three daughters but told my wife that if we have another kid and it's a boy, we would name him Kobe. Surprisingly she was ok with it

There's a lot of ways to be a fan.
I never wore any Laker apparel. I was an Elgin and Jerry fan who bought season tickets and made a lot of noise at the Forum for thirty years plus. Then we retired and moved to my wife's home state, North Carolina.
These days, from way out here, it's been a little tough to get excited about the team for a while. I've been waiting for the Lakers to become a decent team again, not necessarily a conference championship contender mind you. I do demand we field a team to be reckoned with to some extent at seasons end. It's been a while now. _________________ “These GOAT discussions are fun distractions while sitting around waiting for the pizza to be served.”
I've been trolling a certain Celtics forum for much longer than I've been on LG! _________________ Starting Lakers Dynasty6.0! NOW!!

you know what that means? it's time to get to work. Let us know about the good news.
I go to games by myself a lot because my friends don't want to pay for decent seats and I don't want to be in the nose bleeds.
your not alone I do the same thing... in fact I will buy tickets to opposing arenas in good sections fly there and bring the hate...I try to say things to get under people skin too... For ex: San Antonio: Derek Fisher .4 seconds I would constantly tell Manu throughout the whole game about that .4. it was so bad that the assistant coach Brett Brown told me stop.

Sounds like you're more of a diehard WNBA fan. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel
