Question: Since pistol is a three man game and has a post variation to it, in theory, wouldn't they also be able to flow into some split cut action as well after the post entry?

SN: At the 5:30 mark I think that's actually Brown and Jovanovic instead of Ingram and Zubac.

Yessss.

I love your video GT. Easily the best basketball breakdown youtube contents there is. I find your channel far more informative and intellectual than coach Nick's BBall Breakdown.

Yes, exactly. Split cuts are more actions (which can be run within sets) rather than sets themselves.

And good catch on the 5:30 mark...nothing I can do about that now, unfortunately.

Great stuff. Can see why DLO is excited by this coaching staff, because once he masters these sets he's going to put up some insane numbers.

Thanks GT. You break things down in a simple way that the average viewer like myself can understand. Is this what its kinda like for the players to be watching "film" of their next opponent?

In my relatively limited experience, film work with a team is comprised of two different parts: self-scouting, and scouting the opponent. These videos focus solely on the first part...what the Lakers are doing. I actually believe that scouting what you do well & what you need to work on is a lot more important than scouting opponents, because you'll see the results of that in every game. That's not to say that scouting opponents isn't important, but if you focus on getting better at what you do, results will follow.

I plan on doing videos that scout the next opponent as the season goes on if time permits, but that might be difficult.

Excellent as always. Once they learn these sets and don't have to think so much, it will be a lot of fun to watch. More so after your tutorials.

GT have you ever thought of tagging the players to your videos?

Thanks for making these vids, you do a great job. Keeps the boring part of the year more interesting.

I'm getting excited about the season, hope we climb further out of this hole than we think we will.
