Both. It works if Auguste goes to the D-League or the Lakers get rid of a certain individual.

I doubt one is related to the other. I'm guessing Auguste's contract is non-guaranteed...basically a training camp invite.

Did he sign it in Osage County?

For reference, long discussion of Auguste here: http://forums.lakersground.net/viewtopic.php?t=178857

I think it was almost a certainty he'd be a training camp invite, though we don't know the exact details of the signing yet. You know he'll give it his all in training camp and preseason. Dude's motor reminds me a lot of Joakim Noah. I think the coaching staff was impressed with his hustle and energy.

If we waive Young I'm assuming the spot goes to Yi and either Auguste or Xavier for the 15 spot.

But to me the best case scenario is trading Young for MCW and then dumping Lou for a small trade exception or multiple 2nd round picks.

Yep, that would be my guess as well. On the up side, the kid is all hustle; that stuff makes players around him have to work...

best case scenario would be trading Young for MCW and keeping Williams. Then you'd have MCW as backup point guard on a rookie scale deal and you can pair him next to Lou Williams Brandon Ingram, Larry Nance Jr and Tarik Black with our bench. Which would have both length and defense as well as a dependable 6th man scoring option from Lou.

august was a nice surprise in the summer games. his best showing was against ben simmons and 6ers, when he and nance took turns causing defensive havoc. i hope he signs for the year

I thought during SL that he deserved a camp invite. I think he will spend the season in the D League, though.

Then I'm assuming in that scenario that we waive Huertas and then trade Calderon unless Calderon wants to be a 3rd string PG.
