I would of liked to see us invite Ledo to training camp

Players I would take a look at for TC

Auguste
Xavier Henry
Markel Brown
Quinn Cook

Markel Brown Is a nice player to watch out for if he's invited to TC.

Odd for the poster to say bye bye especially for a camp fodder like Auguste.

And who is arguing about that?

I just don't think we have a need for Auguste because we already have Black who does everything better.
Don't get me wrong, he deserves the chance to get a roster spot after his SL performance. I just dont think it'll happen with us this offseason.

We are full in the front court. There will be no more room for August even if there are 1-2 injuries (knock on wood). I wouldn't pick August over anyone in our current front court.

C: Mozgov, Yi, Black, Zubac
PF: Randle, Nance, Deng

I'd much rather have the FO look for a Nick Young replacement.

I don't think Auguste is expected to make the team, that honor will go to Xavier Henry who like you said, will be a Young replacement

Lakers really liked Xavier Henry at onetime. I'm sure that if he's made it back 100% from that injury he's almost a lock to make the roster if Nick is moved.

You are joking. Someone needs to program Auguste's iPhone just so he can navigate any other players to get the ball in the hole when under the basket. Nobody on the Lakers got blocked more in Summer league than Auguste, and when not blocked . . . brick from 3 feet in. Fix that and I'm ok with a third string role. But, goodbye Randle? No way.

Good point, that's why I compared Auguste to Madsen, IIRC ... Turiaf actually had a decent 8-10 ft jump shot, Auguste is another garbage worker like Madsen who will make guys work in practice.

Training camp invite, I guess. I'm not as high on him as some people, but maybe he can develop in the d league and contribute if somebody gets injured or traded. Nice energy, but he's got them Kwame stone hands.

I would take Auguste over Xavier Henry. I fear Henry is done. He was a fringe NBA player before tearing his achilles, I just can't see him helping the team.

Nick Young is not going anywhere: If he was, he would be gone by now. In Luke's system, you need 3 point shooters... Nick is a 3 point shooter.

I thought September is when the Lakers have the ability to cut him? If the Lakers don't find a trade suitor by then September is looking like the month he gets that waive clause.

Nah. If LA waits until September they can count this year's salary fully against the cap and stretch next year's over 3 years rather than stretching both years over 5 if they do it before September.

It seems with Black and Ingram not being signed, there is some flexibility being left for some type of minor deal. I don't see that we need to keep 3 PG's, since Clarkson can also fill that role in a pinch. Young will be gone soon; its almost worth summer ending if it means the end of Nick. A lot of power forwards, but we need a SF better than brown as the backup...

I don't think the Lakers will fill a 15th spot, just to keep it open in case of a mid-season trade or bargain to be had.

FO is trying to stack as many good young prospects under contract is possible for an in season trade with calderon. smart move to try and keep most promising young players. also may need one of them to package with nick.

If Yi is coming, then likely Auguste v. Henry for the final spot (assuming Lakers even offer it)?

More likely the winner of the training camp battles get a ticket to the DLeague...which they could do on their own anyways.

We're good at the big men rotation; need better wing defense.

Brandon Ingram trying to block Auguste in college: https://cdn3.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/swRCahWGk8IhbWqncVp-El2n7rg=/0x0:3436x2291/1310x873/cdn0.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/49953951/usa-today-9173174.0.jpg

There was a lot of synergy when those two were on the court together during the SL. Now they could end up as Laker teammates.

Zach is a good one to invite to camp. He is a very competitive, hungry, hustle guy. He will make everyone step it up a notch.

I hope he can, at least, catch on with the D-fenders if it doesn't work out with the big boys.
