Henderson/Bayless aren't game changers, but they are NBA level guards. Can't say the same about Canaan/Stauskas. Having NBA level gurads will make a big difference IMO _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Sure, but to me, abandoning the Hinkie-tank >> than Henderson/Bayless additions. Obviously Simmons is a major talent upgrade too.
The obvious answer is a combo of all these means 76ers will likely double their win total from last year. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Worse case scenario for the Lakers this season is 30 wins and best case is 40-45. If we somehow land Cousins obviously the whole game changes. |

Western Conference
1. Warriors: 66.8
2. Spurs: 54.5
3. Jazz: 47.6
4. Clippers: 46.3
5. Rockets: 45.8
6. Thunder: 45.6
7. Blazers: 44.5
8. Nuggets: 40.4
9. Grizzlies: 39.4
10. Kings: 37.7
11. Wolves: 37.1
12. Pelicans: 37.0
13. Mavericks: 34.3
14. Suns: 29.2
15. Lakers: 24.3
I must be way too much a Lakers Homer because I see a the good chance the Lakers are in that 7-12 grouping and competing for a playoff spot.
I just spent some time looking at every one of the West rosters. IMO the most have distinct flaws and think the Lakers can and will be better then many in front of them. Or maybe my biased mind is overrating the Lakers potential and underrating some of those rosters.
Coaching, chemistry and roster depth and versatility are all expected to be improved this year IMO.
- I have the Lakers ahead of the Suns, Mavs, Pelicans, Kings and Nuggets to start.
-Not sure the Rockets, Blazers, Grizz or Nuggs are playoff teams. Expect at least a couple to falter.
- Wolves and Lakers are moving up IMO. Can either or both earn that 8th seed?
This delusional Laker fan thinks they should. I am seeing a much more motivated and well coached team then they are getting credit for. |

I kind of see us in the TWolves (2015-16 version) sense. That was 29 wins IIRC.
TWolves are primed to take a big step forward and I think the Lakers will be in the 35-40 win discussion in 2017-18 (depending of course on development and FAs) _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

According to that 2k17 screenshot the Wolves are the 5th best team in the league |

2016-2017 should be 35-40 wins. Still... There could be trades during the season to make us better. |

Pretty much how I feel. |
Thank about a team with this foundation
1. DLo
2. Ingram
3. 2017 top 3 Draft pick (Fultz, Smith, Giles or trade for star)
4. Randle
5. JC
6. Nance
7. Zubac
8. A.Brown
9. T.Black
Vets
10. Deng
11. Mozgov
12. Lou
Still with the flexibility to offer a max contract in 2017 and 2018 (possibly 2). That's a lot of assets _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' At this point, to me it's a sunk cost. No need to tank since we may end up with a bottom 5 record regardless.
But you see how rotting and pervasive a tanking culture like the 76ers produced. I would give Coach Luke 100% support to win every game possible (without of course making trades of our young assets) to the 82nd game. If we get a top 3 pick, awesome. If not, we have a valuable year where our young guys gained tremendous experience. Then in 2018, we have an unencumbered 1st rounder, 2 2nd rounders. We can keep or trade them. All's not lost. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
