He'll get his stats while making them a worse defensive team.
Nope, don't mind at all.
I mean, I'd love to see him succeed because he's a former Laker, and I don't understand wanting him to fail when he brought 2 titles to us, but yeah, he might only get 20mpg vs the Clippers if they face off in the playoffs- and LAC could pose some really tough matchup issues if Dedmon isn't a viable back up.

This.
It's funny how strong your Spurs hate is, still. I enjoy it.
I on the other hand just can't hate them. I've tried, even after they knocked us out that one year, but I just don't hate them the way I do other teams.
And the truth is Pau should have gone to the Spurs instead of CHI, but the money was big.
I am actually hoping the Spurs do well this year. Would rather have them win out over any other team besides us, of course. I hate GSW, hate CLE, POR, BOS, and any other potential contender. I just can't hate the Spurs for some reason.

It's not wanting him to fail. It's the facts on who he is as a player.
He'll get his stats while making them a worse defensive team. It's been that for the past 4 years.

No. He wasn't put in a position to succeed from Mike D'Antoni and Mike Brown. Laker fans weren't exactly the best at treating him well. Let him ring chase. He looked happy in Chicago. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

They were up 2-1 against the Cavs in the 2015 EC finals before Pau went down to injury. They could've won it all if they had better health.
But Thibs and good health don't go hand in hand. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”
Not unless he's gonna change into Pau GaSTRONG on their team.
not that i watched the bulls much lately, but the last time i saw legit gaSTRONG was in last year's euro's. pau ended the regulation and overtime with like 5 dunks, all impressive.

I am sick of the spurs reaching the playoffs and in contention for 20 years straight. I am hoping for something catastrophic to happen to the spurs so they can take a direct nose dive into the bottom pile of the NBA and out of the NBA post season for many years to come. chemistry issues and age would be the best case scenario for that team.
I'm really happy that Pau is with a good team. I like the Spurs, always have - even back to the ABA.
I think his departure from the LAL continues to reflect poorly on the Laker management team, that they let Pau dangle for two plus seasons in the trade markets when he obviously had a lot left in the tank to give his team. But just like when Pau was at Memphis with flagging interest in playing hard every night for the same reason, a guy can be punished publicly only so long before he's checked out. The Lakers did it to themselves: offering chump change only ? Idiots. If you're gonna be mad about Pau's situ, direct it where it belongs: Buss family and Mitch.
Enjoyment of the league's players isn't a zero sum game for most fan like me.
