This is kinda off topic but I was reading Idiot Cuban's blog thingy where he calls phil his bucket boy and he mentioned that kobe has 11 tecs this season.

Is this accurate? The reason I ask is because he faces a mandatory 1 game suspension if he gets 16 tecs.

He needs to leave the refs alone for the sake of the team even if they are making assanine calls. He's too important for him to get suspended for a game. I'm not so sure we can beat any team in this L without him.

no way he goes the rest of the season without reaching 5 techs. I thing i can't stand is when kobe constantly (bleep) at the refs.

Yes, it's accurate. Yes, the team is aware of it and aware of the new suspension rule. And just so you know, it's a 1-game suspension for the 16th tech and every other tech after that (18, 20, 22, etc.).

Good!

Maybe if Kobe disciplines himself, and quits shouting at the refs and acting like he's their boss, they'll give him the benefit of the doubt on more calls after a while.

Then, maybe it will become a habit, and Kobe won't start next year off acting the way he's been acting the past couple of years.

I swear, that change would benefit him in the long run.

Sometimes he's trying to get his teammates fired up (but they can be such a sleepy group, it just doesn't help); sometimes he is incensed over getting hacked in a way that got him suspended, but then doesn't even get a call when someone does it to him, and sometimes he's just throwing a tantrum. It's about a third for each, so about 4 for each category.

That he is a league leader in the T category was a surpise. Being tied with Rasheed for that is a very dubious distinction, indeed.

It's been that kind of season, though. There's a couple games where if I was Kobe, and had swung the ball over to Sasha half a dozen times only to watch him clank the front of the rim, I would end up kicking the ball up into row 5 of section 333...

I say Kobe get 5 techs in a row so that we can get over it and move on already.

Did you or did you not read the part about how every 2 techs after that results in a suspension as well?

The every 2 techs after result ina a suspension, that doesnt seem fair, unless they're like flagrant fouls techs. Kobe better watch out.
