Normally I would enjoy this but ND plays them next week I rather have them win tonight and lose next week.

I don't see a USC team losing back to back games if they lose tonight.

that Utah RB (Moss) has been killing USC....guy came into this week with only one 100 yard game on his resume....week 1 against North Dakota....he hasnt came close since.....has 113 yards in first half against USC, and they are legit hard runs.

I saw Tennessee fans were going crazy when Jon Gruden was spotted setting in the stands at their game against South Carolina. Gruden was a Grad Assistant at Tennessee. #Grumors

Well Gruden is probably in Tennessee because MNF is going to be in Nashville(which isn't that far from Knoxville) so he probably went to catch a game.

I hope he goes to TN maybe people around here will stop speculating that Gruden will coach the Colts(or Manning will return as President)

I don't see either happening.

yeah, I didn't think Gruden would make his return to coaching @ Tennessee....unless they backed up several Brinks trucks

Utah's QB wanted to be the hero from the snap....had no intention on passing that football....best receiver wide open in the end zone.

The decision to go for two should never have been made in the first place.

Agreed. I don't mind a little unconventional or aggressive thinking (for instance, Jim Mora is too conservative), but that was over the top.

I am actually OK with going for 2 there in that situation if I am Utah, but I thought the play call was poor.

Crazy crazy week in college football.

The biggest shocker to me was Clemson going down.

But Washington losing to Arizona State? Shocking.

And my beloved San Diego State Aztecs saw their dreams of cracking the big show go up in smoke as Boise State completely dominated us.

Washington State also layed a major egg and the Pac 12 is in danger of not being in the playoff at all at this point.

The thinking is that you have to be aggressive with play calling on the road. That is why he went for 2. Now Adkindo was right about the QB trying to be the hero considering he didn't even bother to pass the ball.

There's a big difference between aggressive play calling on the road (which I am more than fine with) and needlessly taking a chance at removing your chance at an important conference win on what is essentially and end of game call.

I wouldn’t panic about the Pac 12 just yet. Alabama is a lock. Clemson will be a lock if its QB can bounce back and stay healthy. If someone runs the table in the Big 10, they’ll be in. But that is a huge “if.”

As a small school alumnus with no dog in this hunt, the whole field looks weak to me this year. I don’t even think that this is one of the better Saban-era Alabama teams (though that is a high standard). Unless the results fall just right, the selection committee is going to be under a lot of pressure.

I 100% supported it....bet money that analytics would show that Utah's odds of winning that game against USC were greater in going for the 2 point conversion than they would have been in overtime. USC was home and the more talented team.

I would say USC is still alive, but that is it in my opinion. Washington deserves nothing but ridicule for their cream puff schedule.

Can anyone look at Wisconsin's resume and justify a #5 ranking? They have not faced a team that is close to being ranked....and barely escaped several of those games.

just trying to look ahead, and play out the way games may go....which is usually a huge waste of time.....but a very interesting outcome could take place.

- Consider this, USF (#16 AP & #13 Coaches) and UCF (#20 AP & #20 Coaches) are both likely to remain undefeated until they play in the final game of the regular season.

- During those 5 weeks before they play....several if not many teams ahead of them are very likely to incur a loss. They could both enter that November 18th game ranked in or near the top #10.

If the winner of that game, which will likely be ranked in the top 10, goes on an wins the AAC Championship game and finishes the season undefeated.....will they have a shot at the CFB Playoff?

Don't need analytics to know that your odds of winning go up tremendously when you are still the game.

we can agree to disagree....but the longer a game continues, the more likely the superior team wins the game. It did not work this time, but I am confident a mathematical simulation would demonstrate the chances of gaining 2.5 yards successful far more often than being successful in OT if you accept that USC is the superior team and the rules of college OT. Pretty sure Texas wishes they had went for two in their OT game against USC. Both games, Darnold was playing well down the stretch. I think in the future under similar circumstances, the choice that the Utah coach made will only become more common.

Good win by SC, up 2 spots in the rankings. Just have to keep winning, and see were the chips fall, a Rose Bowl bid would still give some solid achievement to the season,

ND will be a good test

I hope not, it'll make it that much harder for us to pull Scott the Savior out of the fertile recruiting grounds of Florida.
