Big fat contract for multiple years based on mediocre performances, it has to be none other than Mozgov. Randle is still young, Lou has shown he can be a solid scoring punch off the bench. Everyone else is part of a young group or on cheap contracts. _________________ Character Manchester United | Greatest European Moments Fabric of United - Our Belief

Clarkson. I just don't see what others on here see in him. I know I'll get blasted for saying it too. There's nothing he does out of the ordinary and is actually pedestrian in a lot of categories. And just scored a fat contract. Yeah I know the cap went up, so the contract isn't that bad but still. Don't see it in this cat. Hope I'm wrong
He is the one player I considered. Not because I think he will play poorly but that we might not see much improvement _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

I myself voted for Randle. I think the honeymoon period for him is over now, so I think people will actually start calling him out for his deficiencies on both ends of the floor. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Randle slicing his hand, to the continued aftermath of Russel rating out a teammate, to Young going down swinging, to Mozgov getting injured...
All we need is for a couple of DUI's, a domestic violence change, a speeding arrest and someone getting caught with some buds and the off-season will be complete! _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”
Indeed. And as I could've predicted, Julius Randle among the leaders by a wide margin. The kid is entering his 2nd full season and so many eyes on him to fail? Already?? Forget the players, I expect more from Lakers fans.
The most likely answer tbh is Deng. I am sure we'll get great veteran leadership from him and a lot of defensive work with our guys and mentoring. However as far as on court performance and producing offensively I think he'll be a let down from what people are likely predicting from both sides of the ball.
However I do think he'll be solid for us. He won't have the kind of two-way impact I think people are hopign for (ala Igoudala).

Perhaps the initial question should be altered to include the fans.
Some seem to have unrealistic expectations of acceptable contributions for some of the players.
When those marks on any given night are not met I am sure there will be some hissy fits on how bad a player is, will always be and why did the FO sign him to such an outrageous contract or waste a draft pick on such a loser.
That is where my vote for most disappointing is cast.
I think players who are on this team have to have the character to live in LA and be a Laker. If players can't make that transition to the media and lime-light life, they will struggle here in LA. LA is not like any other market. The celebrity here is astronomical...
Overall I think the young guys will do well, simply because they are young and the majority of them have a solid year in LA, not to mention playing with KB.
Mozgov will probably struggle the most with the celebrity and injuries!

Lol. Although he's actually 270-280. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel
By virtue of the ridiculous expectations placed on him (numbers that haven't been seen in the modern era and they expect a 2nd year player to put them up) I would say Randle.
14/11 with a respectable mid range shot would be a great season for me but some posters here expect him to put up Larry Bird type numbers.
I vote Mozgov because I think Zubac and Black are going to surprise some people and they're going to be getting playing time, at the expense of Mozgov. _________________ Ringo "You retired too?"

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Mozgov will perform better than expected since most people here have pretty low expectations for him to begin with. Anything will seem like an improvement over what Hibbert gave us last year.
