Hopefully just for camp. I would say assistant coach, but I don't think he wants to be that accountable - he even said it last year, he's not sure if he wants to commit to that. |

Earlier this summer he said he could have averaged 15-20 points. He still wants to play. |

| I'm gonna assume/hope that he is a training camp body. I know that a lot of the younger players took a lot defensive advice from him last year, but I cant imagine he still has anything left in the tank for another season. Atleast, I hope he doesn't |

If he plays anywhere solid, he is way better then Brown or Young.

| There's not much in this news today. But if he or Travis Wear or another fringe talent were to be able to sign another Laker contract to stick around after camp, well, it would be a shot over my bow alright. Today, I feel no need to let Metta's status be a signal need to readjust my personal expectations (down another couple clicks for this roster.) If he's on board after another month, well, we'll see. |

I dunno... are we still under the cap and signing Metta gets us out of a penalty area? 
Otherwise, hopefully he's there to provide more mentoring services for Julius and maybe Ingram or... maybe just light a fire under Anthony Brown... during camp only, not during the season or he becomes some kind of "Adjunct" coach for us... |
