And Klay is an All Star, NBA Champion, and Olympic Gold medalist. At the age of 26. So yeah...lets pump the breaks just a bit.

And the accomplishments are nice.

But we don't know what kind of beast we are getting with Ingram.

I believe that's the point he was making.

I remember awhile back before the draft someone was comparing Ingram to a 6'10 Klay Thompson. And they were posting as if that were an insult. I'd take that every day of the week!

Stack house is now a Dleague head coach... really, really excited to see what Ingram does as just a rookie. I'm pretty sure he's learned all the tricks of the trade from stack and will come into trhe camp much further along than the typical rook

As far as his outlook...I think Ingrams game will be defined by his defensive presence. He will still drop 20 but his impact defensively will be what he's going to be known for. Similar to KG.

No doubt. With a wingspan/standing reach longer than most NBA centers...heck yeah.

I'm hoping for a Kahwai/AK47 hybrid. That's a top 5 player in the NBA.

Nip this in the bud until this roster wins the 17th Lakers Championship.

Well, Klay can join the Lakers in like 2019, right? So why not Klaygram?

There is actually a sports science segment empirically comparing him to Klay - his shooting release has been shown to be just 20 milliseconds slower than Klay Thompson's shooting release:

If he refines his shot enough, he could be one of the top shooters in the league one day. He's more than capable of it. At the very least, the Lakers got a potential deadeye shooter on their hands.

Yup. And one who has a crazy high defensive ceiling/potential.

Is it even an issue that Klay is a 6' 7" Shooting Guard and Ingram is a 6' 9" Small Forward and their games in no way resemble each other?

How do you compare apples and orange's?

I think some fans think Ingram resembles a young Klay shooting wise. Their strokes look kind of similar if you squint.

I want Ingram to develop into more of a playmaker than Klay. A Kawhi/Iggy mix. Idk
