Tracy McGrady, on his 19 for 63 shooting the last 3 games: "Right now, I'm just in a really bad funk on offense and why? I don't know," McGrady said. "It's just very disappointing."
i can't believe these two were once a rivalry for best perimeter player. can you imagine Kobe ever talking like this? |

Kobe would be like "The shots that i was missing created offensive rebounds for my teamates"
He already said that...
Anyways the tmac vs kobe was never a rivalry. It was clear who was better.

While T-Mac's SHOT is in a funk, Kobe game is, as Greg Anthony so eloquently puts it, "You hear about a GUY being in the zone? Well, Kobe's GAME is in the zone right. He's just playing the game magnificently." _________________ Stephon Marbury on Kobe: "He's the only person on 'dis earth that can do 'dat. He guards people, like shuts 'em down. Then, to do 'dat on 'da offensive end. It's like 'Damn, I can't score on him AND he about to bust my ass." |

T-Mac's still hurting, and his time in-and-out has affected his rhythm.
Give the Rockets full-strength and no-injuries all season, and we'd be
seeing T-Mac in the top-5 scorers in the league.
He's always been in the ballpark with Kobe as a scorer, if a half-step behind.
It's defense and, especially, consistant effort - that have always separated
Kobe from the T-Macs and Vince Carters in their primes.
Will the same be true of Kobe over LBJ? Time will tell.
But for now, LBJ is the only swingman worth comparing to #8. |

And his ADMITTED lack of a killer instinct holds him a notch or two below Kobe. _________________ Stephon Marbury on Kobe: "He's the only person on 'dis earth that can do 'dat. Comparing Tmac to Kobe is not like comparing Nique to MJ. MJ had the superior statistical output, for one. Huge advantage for MJ there, actually. With Tmac and Kobe it's a fairly dead heat statistically throughout their careers, save for this season. Kobe has killer instinct and some defense on Tmac, though, that's for sure. _________________ Westside |

the comparison is good... dominique was a great player, but mj had character, will, mental power... tmac is a great player but he lacks character... mentally kobe is so much superior... and character and will and mind make all the difference, at the end... |

How is Tmac's injury funny? His injury is actually a loss to the nba. I miss the Old Mac, the orlando mac.
19-63 is absolutely horrible. Baron davis level. |

how can you compare t-mac with kobe, when they're not even in the same category? Kobe is among the greatest of all time while T-mac is not even close to Le Bron.
Kobe is next to MJ
T-Mac is next to Air Canada, sorry... air New Jersey...
That's not even a debate... |

Haha, Tmac isn't close to Lebron ?
What are you smoking?
We all know kobe and maybe lebron are better but they are in the same category. Stop underrating him. |

who decides which player is in what category???
at least three things:
1. knowledge of the game
2. mental thoughness
3. results
Will you tell me that Luke walton is in the same category then Bill Walton?
Do you at least understand what separates a good player to a great ?player? |

Well Tmac was living off talent and not work ethic. Kobe is injury prone, but much more durable. Sometimes kobe's shot isn't working so he'll get to the line. Sometimes the range isn't there, so he'll shoot closer. Sometimes the shots are short, so he'll bank it in.
Kobe is better than tracy in every aspect of the game because of that work ethic he has. Honestly, I think Tmac is more talented, but a much worse player.
The only player that can really challenge Kobe is Lebron James. That comparison is still weak since kobe is a NBA legend and lebron has taken 0 playoff shots. |

T-Mac is a special player and he's done some amazing things on the court over the years. I don't think he's ever been the defender Kobe is, but at least offensively (when healthy) he's among the best.
I'd take Kobe first in a pickup game, but Tracy is no slouch. _________________ Dumbledore closed his eyes and slowly lowered his head before Kupchak. "Teach me," he whispered. |

It may not be special, but remember, a last second Tmac shot accounts for one of the Ls we have this year. He is still a special player, but the greats in the league today are just dwarfed by what Kobe is able to do and accomplish.
It is my hope that Kobe trancends his game like he did last night and gets his guys easy buckets. I think Kobe should be a co-facilitator with Lamar - and should specifically facilitate getting Lamar involved offensively (early).
I love KBB to death. That's my guy, but the only way he is going to be able to continue to grow as an individual legend is if he gets titles. For example, if he led the Lakers to the title this season he'd go down as top 3 player of all time because to even imagine such a feat is stupid. That is what legends do. So we'll see. |

Oh, 19-63 is T-Mac's shooting of late? I thought for a second it was the Magic's record the last time he played for them. Turns out they were 2 games better _________________ Nerd rock in progress.

Lebron hasn't even played in a playoff game. Lebron is a athletic passer who can rebound. Lebron plays ok Defense. Lebron is a SF.
Kobe has won three rings. Kobe is a dominant scorer who can pass and rebound. Kobe dominates defensively. Kobe is a SG.
I mean trying to say Lebron is like Kobe is like saying KG is like Kobe. They play different positions, and play different games, I'm sick of that talk.
Jordan and Kobe are similar because of their similiar style of game and champion status. Jordan's the best who ever lived, but if Kobe wins even just one more ring, he might take that title from his airness. _________________ Kevin Love. 2015. |
