So CP3 negotiated a CBA that favored a 5-year deal for himself then just walks away from it?

Clearly, it's unlikely. But most people thought that Durant wouldn't leave OKC. And they were a lot closer to winning a title than the Clippers are. What if in his heart, he truly desires a shot at a ring more than anything else? If so, you just never know.

He would probably need a S&T, guaranteeing him his 5 years, because the Spurs dont have enough cap to sign him upright.
They have $93M tied up 12 players and will try to resign FA's Mills / Simmons.

Green would be a nice addition @ $10m flat for 3 more years (3rd is PO) and could replace Young as a 3-D guy

If the Spurs do not have the money to sign free agents I would be happy to help them out by signing either or both Mills and Simmons.

I'm a charitable guy.

If he'd be willing to take a significant pay cut I'd love Pau on the team in a mentorship role. There's a ton that Randle and Nance could learn from him.

Pau has much left on his deal? 1 year? Let's do it. If we can get green too.

That would work. Give us ammo to attempt shedding Deng and/or Moz.

Danny Green
Pau Gasol
Paul George

Is that the type of overhaul that will excite fans?

i'd take pau and parker (i'd assume they'd want to shed him if cp3 wanted to join their team).

That's about $31M coming in.

Option A: Please take either Moz or Deng. They still shed $13-$15M. I wouldn't even need any picks back for this move.

Option B: We give them brewer and black in return, they throw in a first and a second. They save $18M this way.

depends on who goes out. if you can ship out deng or mozgov for Green/Gasol, you'd have to jump on it.

Gasol is expiring, Green is a good piece, solid defender, good shooter.

and of course you wait till 2018 to sign PG13.

So if the opportunity is there to trade for PG13.. you rather wait till 2018?

Chris Bosh to Lakers may be a possibility

Quote:
There have been discussions about Chris Bosh’s departure being termed a “medical retirement,” but that is not definite. And Bosh has by no means ruled out playing again. The Lakers would be a natural possibility; the 33 year old Bosh spends his offseasons in Los Angeles and the Lakers’ general manager, Rob Pelinka, is Bosh’s former agent.

Chris bosh is young, wealthy, and reasonably healthy. Playing basketball is not worth risking that.

No Bosh. His competitive drive makes him want to continue to compete. He could but not with Lakers. The Lakers are slowing becoming a very desirable destination for FAs so we should be picky in who we sign.
