Porky. Anytime you can get a 7'3" player who can rebound, run the court, swat, and shoot 3s - you get him. He'll be absolutely lethal in Luke's offense. Phil Jackson cray cray! |
I'm a little worried about his health, what are the odds that a player who is 7'3 and runs like a guard has a shortened career ? |

That's my biggest concern. I'm somewhat suspicious about what the Knicks may know about Porky, health-wise. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

5 Rik Smits
6 Mark Eaton
7 Ralph Sampson

"Healthy" is not the word I'd use to describe them... |

Yep, Porky much like DLO has long term athletic worries. Porky frankly could be a bigman version of Brandon Roy... who for awhile was one of the elite players in the league... and then almost overnight... boom out of the league.
However if I'm the Lakers I still take the gamble, and stop bulking him up like the knicks were doing. _________________ How can I get a copy of a Laker game played on Sunday, March 11, 2001 Sonics/Lakers? If you know PM me please
I would be willing to pay you for it. |

Crazy about Lamarcus huh? Wow, if you can't fit in with the Spurs, you just can't fit in. I hope that Magic does not go after him. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

Still waiting for the other shoe to drop on the George trade. But assuming they get him at a reasonable price. Then Lakers take Ball.
Are there any free agent options that would be targeted this year to keep the momentum going? With the plan of adding one max next year (obviously James but open to suggestions).
Just curious if anyone has heard or come up with any alternatives in free agency for this year. Threads are building so fast the last couple of days. Leave the site for a couple hours and topics have been discussed, dismissed and re-visited a couple different times. |

Kind of wish Porky was 6'11. Seems 7'1 and above is tough to stay healthy. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

The Kings are ready to move on from Willie Cauley-Stein, whom they selected with the sixth overall selection in the 2015 draft. – via Woelfel's Press Box
Can we get that guy? |

With the Bulls trading Butler maybe we could trade JC for Wade?
Bulss would get another young player to help them rebuild.
Wade can start at SG next to Ball, be a leader for us and give us more cap space for next summer. |

We need to add shooters and defenders and off ball playmakers to the team.
Last season we had Swaggy and Lou keeping us close in games or winning games for us, this year we have nobody to fill their roles.
Possibly a huge 1 year deal to Wade or someone similar to prevent Boston getting that 2-5 pick next year. |

Any possible Jeremy Lin or Calderon type deals out there? I don't see us using our cap space this summer so might as well get a pick or two while absorbing expiring contracs. |

Rob Pelinka says the Lakers will be "sacred" about their cap space for next summer. In other words, look for lots of 1+1 deals |

Shooting is at the top of the Lakers' priority list when free agency starts next week, Pelinka said. |

Since we're locked into the 2 max plan I agree with the plan. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
