How much cap space will we have for 2018 FA if we shed Deng's contract either by trade or waive?

$77M without JC/Randle and Deng traded.

$70M without JC/Randle and Deng stretched.

Where are you getting $70M with Deng stretched?
Projected cap is $103M.

Deng stretched is about $7.4
Ball/Ingram will be about $11M.
Zubac/Nance/all our picks this year shouldn't be more than $9M.

That'd still put us around $76M. 4 cap holds still puts us at about $73M?

Here's the 2018 Salary numbers. I'll let someone else do that math.

Jordan Clarkson..............$12,500,000
Julius Randle (Cap Hold)..$12,447,727
Lonzo Ball.......................$7,461,960
Luol Deng (Stretched).....$7,362,000
Brandon Ingram..............$5,757,120
Larry Nance Jr................$2,272,391
Kyle Kuzma....................$1,689,840
Josh Hart........................$1,655,160
Ivica Zubac....................$1,544,951

Griffin is a loser and he's always injured. I wouldn't touch him with a ten-foot pole.

I want to send him to Boston but he's 100 going to Miami if you think about what that city offers

Blake Griffin and Chris Paul have opted out of their contracts with the Clippers.

Clippers fans are soon to follow.

I wonder how DJ feels, they all begged him to come back.. Then they try to trade him, then the guys that begged him to stay, opt out lol.. He should have acted in his best interest.

Opt out doesn't mean they won't resign to the original team but I agree. It is more likely they will be gone.

That really sucks. Magic is pretty much gonna sell most of the farm on the small chance of getting 2 max players.

Wouldn't Lakers just have to trade Jordan Clarkson for nothing to have enough for 2 max deals? He will only have 2 years left at that point so doesn't seem that hard. I don't really consider Clarkson a big part of the farm.

Randle's qualifying offer I believe is only 5.5m so we can probably find a way to keep him if we wanted. Not sure we are going to want to extend him if his agent will be asking for too much.

Randle's cap hold is a little over $12M, which is the more important figure.

If he likes LA but doesn't like the Clippers, there is only one option left.

I don't care where Griffin goes as long as it's not with us.

I think we learned a valuable lesson at the draft about listening to the reportage of Mr Schultz.

Arron Afflalo just got cut by Sacto.

6-5, 210 lb, 31 years old; still shot .411 from 3 and averaged 8.1 a game in 25.6 minutes.

Local guy, could be worth a 1-year rental.

He would look good in a Clippers uniform.

I wouldn't mind him and Collison on 1 year deals. Gives us a couple of shooters and fellow UCLA guys to ease Lonzo's transition to the NBA.

I'll say this about Blake. I think he is a better player than he has been with the Clippers. I'm not one who is convinced that Paul makes his teammates better; rather, I think the opposite holds true and he restrains his more talented teammates to shine by being so ball-centric.

I don't want Griffin because of his injury issues and that you can't rely on him, but, with a team that gives him the freedom to be him, I could see him blowing up in those games he is healthy enough to play in a way he couldn't next to Chris Paul.

i am not saying go get him but remember what happened with Curry. Signed 44/4 and since then had played more then 75 games/yr

I also agree with CP3 take. without CP3 he was 3rd on MVP ballot few years back

Afflalo is a pretty clear comp for Josh Hart. But he would be a good mentor and a decent starting SG.
