PLEASE NO. If there is any player who is selfish , and who only cares about his money, his brand and what he has going on.. it's Rose.
You can see it in every interview he has. What his body language is.
Stay away.
You think a selfish guy like that will come here and be happy to back up Lonzo and to mentor him, get reduced minutes, etc?
I guarantee that will not be the case. He will be whining to the media or start dogging it on the court. _________________ Dominating every day.

He could end up like Rondo and FO passing. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Yeah I guess it won't work. Hopefully this is like Rondo and they pass. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

I'm not too worried about this. Being an ex agent, Pelinka Will be courteous and take any meeting asked for by an agent. Just because they're having a meeting doesn't mean the Lakers will make an offer.
The last thing you want to do as a new general manager is alienate a bunch of agents by refusing to take meetings. Rose is not a good fit for this team and Rob will likely not make an offer or make a lowball offer in order to say that we did make an offer it just wasn't good enough for your client. _________________ Darvin Ham is an idiot! |

ROSE spelled differently = SORE. |
The word you're looking for is anagram. But that's a good one. The anagram for Rose is Sore. Lol! |
If you add one letter to ROSE it will become ROLES.
Something that is all he needs to know to become a positive contributor.
Too bad it's an 'L'.

Well talent wise he is the best PG available and he is a vet. Just like Rondo I have faith Magic and Rob will do there due diligence if they meet. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

I actually think he's perfect since he likes rest. Would he mope at getting back-up minutes? I thought Rondo would. |

Well I am sure they will make it very clear what his role will be. He would have to accept it. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

(bleep) no. I'd rather they sign the MVP of the YMCA recreational wheelchair league than Gimpy McGimperson aka D-Rose.
Sorry about the negativity DB. |

Yeah maybe 6 years ago. I'd rather have JC playing the back up point than Rose. They are similar in style of play. |

Derrick Rose is certified Forrest Gump level stupid. Dude should just walk around wearing a dunce cap. Failed the ACT 3 times, paid someone to take the SAT -- he makes Nick Young sound articulate. Oh, none of that matters, what only matters is his on-court stuff? We could write a book about that too. We're looking for a smart, high character mentor, right?I don't want him anywhere near Lonzo. _________________ #32 is the greatest Laker ever. |

Did you expect Lillard to break Nash's leg?
Nash was coming off a VERY solid season the year prior as well, he was expected to have a few seasons left in the tank. Lillard breaking his leg put an end to that, but even what Nash was able to do for us on one leg till he couldn't go anymore showed potentially what we may have had if he was healthy throughout the season.
Again, him getting his leg broken was a major reason he didn't work out for us, not because he came here 'done'. |
Didn't he have back problems after the leg? |
Nash had back problems his whole career. He played about 70 games his last year for the Suns.
His broken leg resulted in nerve damage tho, which prolonged his recovery. |
And when you mess up your leg that bad, it is going to effect the other parts of your body as well. |

Don't mind it if hes willing to be back up PG. Hopefully, he will buy into our culture and pass more like his earlier years. Putting up 18 ppg didn't increase his value so try to play winning basketball. _________________ Showtime 2.0 |

george is not coming here without another all star. 100% sure of that.
with only him in prime, what is he exactly winning? for the next 3 years?
nothing |
In my opinion more wins then a James Farewlell Tour structured team.
But very dependent on the development and chemistry of this years team. Adding George to a young deep team seems to have more substance and potential.

while i agree with you, you think the lakers will say no to Lebron James? |
And will George say yes sans Lebron. My intuition says it's either two max superstars or none. |

And there may be as many as 4 max players to mix/match from. WB hasn't signed his super max extension yet either. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I don't follow Rose, but what's he like inside the locker room? Google is not helping just said that he's been a "clean" guy before that alleged assault. |
There were issues in NY, but I blame that more on it being the Knicks and less about the players. He really wanted to return there, they really didn't want him back. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I caught more than a few Knicks games, and the absolutely infuriating thing to watch with the Knicks was Rose/Melo completely avoiding passing the ball to Porky. They thought they were the sun, moon, and stars of the Knicks. Knicks fans were unhappy about Rose's proclivity towards calling his own number while Porky is just left standing there. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
