This seems a very well crafted and realistic trade scenario. If you thought of this yourself... Props to you. |
Yes, this is basically what Schultz was suggesting is being discussed. |
Dunno if the Suns would do that. I could see NY/CLE going for it though. |
I don't know about that. Think of it this way... suns are getting a top 8 pico for Bledsoe. No way they could have got that kind of return for him before the draft. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

That would have been horrible. Would have reloaded the Clippers perfectly and you have to figure CP3, LeBron and George would think seriously about staying together.

It would be idiotic to gut the roster for LBJ, same deal with PG. If he wants to come here..it'll happen next summer. |

I wouldn't trade Ingram for Lebron...
Next season we could have a fast positionless lineup like this... use Zubac or Lopez against a slow team with a big center.
Kuzma
LeBron
Ingram
PG-13
Lonzo |

I don't think so. I think Magic/Pelinka would employ the same strategy as with PG13 and hold firm on not including Ingram (or Ball, but that goes without saying). Lebron has a no-trade clause too, so if he requests LA through back channels, Cavs either take whatever we offer or risk him walking next summer for nothing. Dan Gilbert would much rather Lebron walk next summer rather than trading him just to win the PR points. Then he can play victim again. |

Can't blame Kyrie for finally deciding he's had enough of deferring to/dealing with LeBron, on and off the court. The King is a Drama King. |

Laker Fans need to listen to Lavar... "Stay In Yo Lane". We need to stop salivating about the potential talent out there and what we need to do to get it. Stick with the plan, Trust Magic & Pelinka, play well, get wins, then shake the tree in 2018. Even then you don't gut the team, If these guys are "free agents", then lets get them for "free". _________________ "If you see me in a fight with a bear, prey for the bear". Ive always loved that quote. Thats "mamba mentality" we don't quit, we don't cower, we don't run. We endure and conquer. |

Carmelo: You either retire a hero, or play long enough to be traded to the Knicks
Someone hire me.

Cleveland tried to get PG but couldn't find a 3rd team to take Love since Indiana didn't want him. So don't think this was magically going to happen. |

If in Cleveland's scenario.. I'd be trying to make this three team trade happen.
Cavaliers Get:
Carmelo Anthony
Chris Paul
Rockets Get:
Kyrie Irving
Knicks Get:
Kevin Love
then a secondary trade
Cavaliers Get:
Trevor Ariza
Rockets Get:
Iman Shumpert
Something akin to that would probably be in the Cavs' best interest. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

I really want to see the banana boat team minus CP3 in Cleveland. They will fail miserably. |

I suppose it's technically possible that CP3 could be traded again since he opted in and was traded (he didn't technically sign with Houston), but it would be amazingly shocking if Morey would be willing to just flip CP3 this quickly. That said, I can see an argument for the Rockets being better off long-term with Kyrie, and with the Cavs being better off short-term with CP3 and Carmelo to try to give LeBron one more run in Cleveland. But I don't think the Knicks make a lot of sense for Love, with Porzingis in tow. But what if Love were routed to the Suns (they reportedly have had interest in him), with Bledsoe ending up with the Knicks? The Knicks need a point guard (that can start now; Ntilikina is not yet ready for a major role), and the Knicks could probably also pick up another player from the Suns here (maybe someone like Warren or even Bender).
This would also mean that the Cavs could lose all of their major assets for nothing next summer, which would be pretty awesome.
