It isn't a decision that the FO made, it would be a decision that arose would make. Rose signing here was proof that our FO can out work the big boys (per LG in this thread). If Rose signs in Cleveland then I guess that wouldn't be the case. |
You're right, but it's possible that the FO made it very clear what Rose's role would be. They'd have done their due diligence and offered only a minimal role. In that case it was their decision that Rose just didn't accept
might be a naive view but that's the way I'm looking at the FO right now

| Idk about you guys but I prefer Clark than Rose. Clark is familiar with the system, Walton likes him and I don't think he'll complain playing 20-24 minutes a game. Unlike Rose who I think would complain about PT. |

Don't you think Magic is sort of a historical outlier? There's a reason he's considered one of the all time greats. |
Magic was the 2 guard as a rookie. They projected him as the eventual 4 once his frame filled out, but it was obvious by his second season that PG was his demesnes and Norm basically moved to the 2 in 81-82.

I think magic started as a 2, though he initiated the offense - He eventually became the point, after like 4 seasons. I could be wrong though, but I'm asking because sometimes you don't necessarily need a vet from that position to teach you. Nonetheless, Magic could be that vet he can use.

I like Clark too, but we need another point guard, not so much a shooting guard. Like Lebron's Cavs last season, we're looking for another playmaker off the bench. |
