He has a really good wingspan too, I thought he would be a decent shot blocker.
To me defense is 75% desire and 25% physical ability. I put Okafor in the same category as JC and Randle, decent tools but they lack the will to use them.

I'd say he has average size for a C. It was one of my main arguments against him at draft time. He is a below the rim player with average size for a C.
He really need to play as a 4 and use his face-up game from the mid-post to open up the rest of his game. |

Bazz is non-defense playing junk. We already have Clarkson to not play D in the back court, we did not need two guards who play no D.

Shabazz is an ok bench player for a mid-level playoff team, but would add nothing to our developing squad. I prefer having Josh Hart out there showing what he can do.

If Melo is okay waiving his trade clause to join the Blazers then I'm not sure why he wouldn't do the same for the Lakers.
