I am not a fan of this FA market at all. I don't think we can punt either; ugh.

Is PP a FA this summer? He would be a very nice signing.

I mean there's Hayward. It's too bad there's a 0.1% chance he comes here.

From all the players listed he is the one that I believe would be a great fit, but unfortunately I agree about our chances to land him.

They should have never made the trade.

As one of the few AB supporters, and the most upset that we cut him after one year.....how screwed up will it be if he catches on and has a productive career with my hometown team....

Would be funny if the Lakers were to acquire Ibaka especially with Y2001 talking about us possibly signing him this summer, but I would hate to lose Randle or another young piece.

not sure what the advanced stats say, but he is quickly becoming a poor defender, and relying on perimeter shooting to score....does not resemble the explosive player he was when Thunder went to Finals.

The Magic are in a lose lose with Ibaka. If they give him anything close to a 5 year max, yuck. If they lose him after trading 2 lottery picks for him after a disappointing season, yuck.

I knew that was a horrible trade the minute it was announced.....whatever you think about Oladipo, he was arguably their most productive player....he was underrated around league because he was not as good as many would hope a #2 pick would be.

Meh, sunk cost. You don't give him the 5 year max just because you made a bad deal to acquire him.

would not put it past that FO. With Meeks and Fournier injured, many fans hoped they would give Hezonja another chance....but they immediately announce they are bringing AB in for a 10 Day. Maybe he will just be insurance, but I dont like wasting 10 days on insurance....want a chance to see guy play. Point is a smart FO with a losing team is giving Hezonja 36 minutes in this situation.

I think Mitch is smarter then that.

We signed Mozgov & Deng for a combined $136M, I'm not sure where you get your confidence from.

Yeah, it's like continuing to eat a meal that you think is gross just cause you paid $15 for it. Or staying in the theater to watch a bad movie just cause you paid for it. Cut your losses and move on

Were there threads calling him a bust and OlaBustalo on MagicGround.net?

Totally agree, he'd be great but slim to no chance of him coming.

I am guessing yes? Dont visit Magic fan site much....but there was a segment of fan base that thought he should be better. It was a weak draft...he would not be a #2 pick in any decent draft.

That didn't cost us some of our youth.

Unless we go after RFAs, I think we see some vet role playing bench players signed.

At this point, I'm not very hopeful about the team improving significantly through free agency. Whether it was their fault or not, the FO has been god awful with FAs, as far as their track record goes. With or without cap space, when the team was good or now that it's bad, they have not improved the team in ways that many other front offices have proven to do in the last decade with FA signings.

I expect more of the same this summer. Best to go in with expectations that they won't sign any of the guys that are being talked about now (probably the most realistic scenario), that way there won't be any disappointment again
