I really don't see the problem with him getting the 15th roster spot. It would be great if a guy like Auguste could legitimately beat him out for that spot, but having MWP around to remind teammates to play defense is fine.

He can always transition into a player development role if he's not good enough to earn that spot.

Me neither. A 15th man isn't going to contribute on the floor anyway. Might as well use the spot for a mentor/coach.

All right! MWP back! I know he's not getting minutes but I love the dude and want him long term in the organization.

Next target...Pau!

They aren't going to pay $10 million for a mentor/coach.

He wasn't good enough on a 17-win team.

I hope he joins up as an assistant coach when he retires. I want Metta on this team in some capacity when we win our next chip just for the interviews.

He was good enough to be the 15th player on a 17-win team. Because that's what he was.

I feel like they only signed him because today happens to be World Peace Day.

I am a MWP fan, but this is a fact. He looked bad out there last year....just not athletic enough to compete at this level any longer. Time for him to turn the page.

Don't want him on the team, tbh. He did his whole mentor thing last year. He was horrendous on the court, 31% FG. Pass.

Not true, he was leading the league in 3FG% for approximately 5 days
