Sup LG!
Who'd be down to meet up somewhere to watch the first game of the season? We could go to a sports bar or restaurant, ESPN Zone at LA Live or something like that. I'm assuming most of us are in So Cal & somewhere in/around LA would be the most convenient. Suggestions are welcomed!
I have no clue if y'all are interested or not in something like this, so post away and let me know. I will update the main post & thread title if people think it's a good idea.
Also, if we have enough people in other areas (ex. San Diego, NorCal, East Coast, etc) that want to meet up I can post that information here as well.
EDIT: NYC - Taqueria bar on 1st av and 8th st.

I know it can get pretty crowded there at the ESPN Zone during game day. I worry if we get a posse formed for this that we'll regret being clustered into that place. But if that's what the popular vote is, then I'm down for whateva. I think it will be a good time regardless.

ESPN Zone has such a good look, their food and horrible service doomed it. |

I'm down for Shakey's.
Afterwards in their arcade, if anyone of you degenerates can beat my high score in Pole Position I'll buy you a 25cent toy inserted chicken egg capsule freshly laid by the giant plastic mother hen. _________________ "The best there is. Guys, if you establish a location, I will be there. I'm flexible. Just whatever is convenient for the group.
I'll be checking in. |

We only have a couple days to arrange a place guys! I won't be able to make this one (I high school ministry obligations at my church on Wednesday nights), but I still want to have this thread be a place where we can get all the info together. |

For NYC it's been the NYCLakerfans meet up at Taqueria bar on 1st av and 8th st. I'm not the organizer but it's legit Lakers bar |

Don't forget the Lou Williams drinking game.
Take a chug any time he does one of the following:
(1) flails arms to draw freethrows - 2 chugs for 2 freethrows, 3 chugs for 3 freethrows
(2) passes on a wide open shot to draw a foul call
(3) fades left on a jumper
(4) opposing guard scores on him
Hopefully you survive the night. |

My girlfriend and I blacked out watching a Lakers game last year and playing a Lou Williams drinking game.
We took a shot for every FT attempt. Don't completely remember the amount, but I know he shot around 15 FTs that game.
We killed the bottle. And both of us missed work the next day. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Better make sure this establishment is next to a light rail stop- no one will be in shape to drive if they're playing that game. |

Just one of those 4 LouWill drinking games would be enough to get me kicked out the bar and pass out behind a dumpster. |
