Can't wait to see what our freelance looks like and what kind of shots it generates. I want to see how Walton utilizes Randle too. I hope he's involved in a lot of p'n'r as the screener. Can't wait for GT's breakdown.
Freelance? I just got flash backs of one of my first threads on here long ago, promoting Bickerstaff be our head coach and letting the team freelance play since it had been working. I know lukes offense will be more than freelance, this is just a random comment from me
I mean the movement when we're not running a set play. I wonder how many threes we'll be taking too.
I can't wait. Im curious to see the lineups as well.

Off-topic but relevant to preseason games - Patrick McCaw is legit good -- has the length, height, speed, can guard the 1,2,3, passes the ball extremely well, can penetrate with ease and can shoot the outside jumper. Kerr said he would seeing good minutes off the bench this upcoming season. If you're a 20 year old rook seeing time on one of the best NBA teams in history, you are pretty damn good. They stole this guy at 38.
This is what Jerry West said about him:
Quote:
Warriors executive board member, Jerry West, felt McCaw should not have slipped that far, saying "People are gonna be sorry they didn't draft him." On July 6, he signed with the Warriors and joined the team for the 2016 NBA Summer League.
Yeah. IMO he's their Shaun Livingston replacement as he will become too expensive to replace in 2017.
You guys might be on to something with McCaw. His timing in the passing lanes looks like a special talent.

He's the guy I really wanted in the 2nd round. I heard we were trying to get another 2nd round pick. Might likely have been with the intent of drafting mccaw.
Super exciting, looking forward to seeing Luol and Mosgov and what our substitution patterns might look like
DLO
Clarkson
Luol
Randle
Mosgov
To start
1st substitution
Ingram to 3, Luol to 4 Randle to 5 for small ball?
Or
Ingram to 3, Nance to 4, Yi/Zubac to 5?
Do swaggy/huertas/AB fit in anywhere? Is Yi playable?
Gonna be awesome!!!
I think we wil not see any small ball in Preseason. Remember, we still don't have a set roster and some players are in the bubble like TBlack, ABrown and NYoung.

Preseason is the perfect time to try out various small ball lineups and see which work best.

First preseason game! I expect to see a LOT of freelancing from the offense, considering how they're early on in the learning process and plays are going to break down a lot. So many things to look forward to though:
Does Yi hit 3's in a game the same way he's hitting them in scrimmages?
Is Randle learning some fundamentals? Can he actually set picks? And roll?
Is Williams still going to play exclusively in black-hole-and-one mode? Or was that his response to last year's BS offense?
Do 'Clarkson' and 'defense' belong in the same sentence this year?
Does Robinson look good enough to knock Young or MWP off the roster?
Calderon v. Huertas. See it live. Tuesday, October 4th at 7pm!
How mobile is Yi on defense?
Zublocka v. Cousins - Could be awful, but it could be great. If it happens, don't blink.
Ingram - can he handle the physicality?
Ingram's defense
Ingram and DLO - any glimpses of superb off ball movement and passing?
How well does Mosgov fare against Cousins?
Dang just scratched the surface...
Great to see a game day thread again!! FINALLY!!!!
I hope 10th seed means that we leap frogged them in the standings, if either Houston/OKC or Dallas miss the playoffs you would think we will be there to grab a spot unless we simply couldn't.

Wonder if it'll be available for replay somewhere on the internets.,
No league pass this year?
Is it on League Pass? I thought most preseason games were on NBA TV, which is not League Pass. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
It's happening, fellas! It's been a long summer, but we're about to see basketball! Sloppy basketball, mostly likely, but BASKETBALL! _________________ LeBron, AD, & _________. Stay tuned.
