Looks like the series will be 1-1 unless the Indians make a comeback.

Like anyone else except Padre or Chargers fans of course.

Even the Clippers could not overcome the real curse that no one talks about...the curse of San Diego Sports teams.

Padres have been in MLB since 1969 (47 years) and have 2 National League Pennants and two World Series losses.

The Chargers have been in NFL since 1970 and have 1 Super Bowl appearance in which they were routed from the opening kick.

I am tired of hearing about the Cubs and Cleveland and such. Chicago has won lots of titles, Cleveland just won in basketball in a historic comeback.

What a crappy sports year outside of the Broncos winning the SB the nightmare scenario has happened.

At least if the Cubs win the World Series maybe people will stop calling them lovable losers and we won't have to be forcefed into feeling sorry for them.

They will be just like everyone else....

I feel pity for people who claim they are sports fans and yet who can't see the goodness in what is happening with the Cubs this year.

I hate everything Boston, but when they broke their curse with that miraculous backdoor sweep several years ago, I couldn't have bene more thrilled.

Javier Baez and Jon Lester single handily made me hate this year's Cubs. not just because they knocked out my beloved Dodgers, but their attitude on the field really turn me off. i'm rooting for the Indians all the way.

I've watched the Bartman interference call over and over. IMO I don't think Moisés Alou would have caught the ball. It looked to me it was out of his reach. Frame by frame at .053 on. LINK

Alou says he wouldn't have caught Bartman ball in 2003 NLCS
LINK

Quote:
"Everywhere I play, even now, people still yell, 'Bartman! Bartman!' I feel really bad for the kid," Alou told Associated Press columnist Jim Litke.

"You know what the funny thing is?" he added a moment later. "I wouldn't have caught it, anyway."

I'm a Dodger fan for life. Been a fan since the Robinson days.

Vinny's Reese to Robinson, dug out by Hodges, double play call back in the Brooklyn Bums days still rings clear.

I remember asking my father why they put a black cat on the field. I was very young and didn't fully understand his explanation.

Having said all that, I'm pulling for the Cubbies, sentimental reasons. Love to see them shake the Curse of the Billy Goat. and Steve Bartman.

Having traveled to Chicago this summer to watch the dodgers play at Wrigley, and hating Cleveland (mostly because of Bron) gotta root for the Cubs.

Chicago is a great city, fans have been hungry for a title. Fans were nothing but great there to my group even all Dodgered out.

Cubs get another gift from the umpires.

At this point, if they win it has a stench. Just let the teams decide the game, don't try and rig it.

Tomlin's a 4.4 ERA this season. 1.76 in the post-season. Our guys move the opposite direction.

Indians have pitching, fielding and can play small ball...something the Cubs didn't face against us.

Dodgers didn't die for this crap Cubs. Can't believe Hendricks and Lackey looked all-world against us and failed on the biggest stage.

Now you'll have to win 3 straight.

Cubs middle relief has been their downfall all season.

Kipnis homer 7-1 Indians

Cubs now have to win 3 straight

So how many Cubs fans mortgaged their home to see the Indians potentially clinch at Wrigley?

Cubs this series have eerily mirrored the Dodgers in the NLCS.

Of course, a former Dodger just raking it in the World Series. Stupid cheap McCourt. Dodgers gave up Carlos Santana because McCheap didn't want to pay any of Casey Blake's salary.

That was the low point of the McCourt regime. Screwed us at catcher for years.

And the Indians have looked like how the Cubs looked when they played against us in the NLCS....put runners on base any way they can, play small ball and basically killed them each inning slowly.

Indians have lost what? Like 2 games so far in the playoffs? Talk about a team that is on at the right time.
