Anyone else watching a few 76er highlights?
It's odd that I don't worry about Ben Simmons like I do Dario Saric. Simmons is the elite athlete, far better defender.
But Saric is every bit a passer as Simmons with NBA 3pt. range, and Joel Embiid looks ridiculous.
Saric has some underrated passes here.
Embiid has 3pt range now.
If they can manage to stay healthy, they have a great young team. Embiid, Simmons and Saric could be a dynamic front line for a long time, and then they have Noels and Okafor as backups or trade bait.
I'm sure full highlights will come out soon...but he looks massive out there. 3pt range is real and I'm sure his rust will wear off as the season goes, but his lateral quickness is insane for a C. He kept up with Kay Felder who is a speedster laterally in the last highlight _________________ Lakers 2008-2009 Champions!
Loved his versatility in college. I hope he stays healthy and who knows, if 76ers continue to be a joke, he might leave in 2019. _________________ Showtime 2.0

Watched 3/4 of that 76ers/Cavs game. Embiid looked very mobile and explosive but he seemed to tire quickly with the fast pace the team wants to play at. I don't agree with Brown's philosophy to push the ball up the floor that much when his best offensive assets right now are Embiid and Okafor who both have stamina issues.
I don't see Embiid and Okafor both in the starting lineup either. Everyone was wowed by the three pointer but his best he's a handful down on the block which is also Okafor's best place to operate. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant

Sounds to me like they could use a ball stopping undersized shooting guard who doesn't play defense but is really good at drawing fouls
Williams for Embiid anyone? _________________ Kobe
If embiid keeps this up I'm salivating to see him match up with KAT
Both of those guys will compete for the title of the best big man of this generation. Along with Anthony Davis of course _________________ My Dream Starting 5 next Season
its crazy..now that much of the nba has become smaller..Embiid looks like a fing giant out there. obviously hes a 7 footer and hes big. but he looks even bigger compared to everyone else.
I haven't watched, but saw Saric in the box score and looked like he was doing well. They really need to get a guard on that team, guess they'll just have to wait for next draft.
Let's see how healthy Embiid can stay. The talent is unquestionably there but he's playing 12 mpg right now. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

Saric is legit. He's a starting caliber NBA player today. Best thing that could ever happen to him was Simmons going down. Between Saric, Noel, Embiid, Okafor and Simmons, they are going to have issues moving forward. It makes sense that they are trying to find takers for Noel and Okafor as soon as they can - those two clearly seem to be the two worst of the bunch. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

Yeah, though the sense I get from Philly media is that they want to see whether Embiid can last a season. Makes sense to keep one of Noel/Oak, though the former is up for an extension this summer. All things equal, I think the 76ers would like to keep Noel, but don't want to pony up the 20m to keep him, so likely he's shipped out first. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
Okafor will likely be traded if Embiid is healthy by all-star break.
Knicks should be all over that.
I think Noel will be traded b/c he is up for an extension while Oak is still on his rookie deal for a few more years. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
