|
|
Anyone seeing any rumored players potentially getting released/waived this week that the Lakers might claim or sign?
I realize the Lakers have their own issues getting to 15 players. Still two cuts to be made to get there out of MWP/ Yi/ Robinson/ Brown IMO unless a surprise move like a trade occurs.
But any thoughts on the possibilities of a player being added beyond the current roster? Obviously will depend on if any intriguing players are even available of course.
Curious to see where the opinions trend on this one. |

I did a search for the name of "3 and D SF" but there were no matches. So sorry for those of you hoping to add him. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

LOL. We have too many players for our rotation and we need another? _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

It's just end of the roster guys, but the player would essentially be taking the spot of Brown or Robinson. If there's a guy you like better than either of those two then it makes since to pick him up. Otherwise you keep one of those two. _________________ “This goes far beyond paychecks” |

lol I understand that people are ready to give up on Brown, but it always gives me a chuckle when his name is thrown in with the players who are fighting for a roster spot. That's not even being reported anywhere. It's not like we don't already know who those guys are that might be cut (Yi, Robinson, and MWP). There's no mystery about it.
I do think his time will be up unless he plays well enough this year to show that he's worth keeping around, but there's obviously reasons why they haven't been as quick to show him the door as some fans are. His role and skill set are simple, the only substantial negative about him being his lack of confidence and anxiousness, which negatively impacts his jumper. But again, very fixable. Giving him another shot by keeping him for the year won't be a negative for the direction of the team. This ship isn't going anywhere anytime soon and his contract isn't exactly a stumbling block, so they have nothing to lose.
Keeping him for another year is low risk, high reward from multiple angles. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. And people who would be happy in heaven if Christ were not there, will not be there."

I dunno where anyone can fit on our roster unless we cut Yi, Robinson, and MWP.
As of now most of the dudes being cut are guys we don't want. After the final cuts there maybe something interesting (to us as fans at least) out there, but I dunno. |

To get anyone worth even thinking about Mitch should pull out a trade.
No need to worry about the players who are cut. _________________ .

This isn't iso-ball anymore. Brown will need to move without the ball, set screens and sometimes pass. That's note even mentioning shooting. We haven't seen enough of him under Luke to judge those skill sets yet. I'm assuming Luke already has his fate determined based on the practices none of us get to see. We'll know soon enough. |

The Atlanta Hawks have waived Jarrett Jack
Quote: | Jack was signed by the Hawks on a veteran-minimum deal worth $980,431.
Jack has been unable to practice as he returns from torn right knee ligaments.
The Hawks have only Will Bynum and Josh Magette as point guards on the training camp roster behind starter Dennis Schroder and backup Malcolm Delaney. |

Jonathan Holmes got cut by the Cavs. Averaged nearly 10 a game on 48.9% shooting. I liked him, but its tough to see where he would fit into this team...if they even wanted him...which they probably don't. |

She is a 5 at best. Kind of normal looking. Not pretty, but not ugly either. |

I think he may end up with their D-League team. |

I saw Cleveland (I think) released Jonathan Holmes. We dont need him, but any idea why he did not return to our camp this year? Looked like he had another "solid" camp/preseason for Cleveland, but they just had no room. |
