I'm sure the Lakers have talked to some teams about Lou - all teams talk, for the most part, to all teams in general terms - usually not a ton of action this time of year - maybe a few salary dumps right before season _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus

If the Lakers decide to cut Yi is there a chance they delay it so they can offer his contract in a trade?
I don't understand the question - if they decide to cut Yi when? before the season? if they don't, then they've decided not to cut Yi. _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus
They can't trade Yi until after Dec 15 - if there's a trade to be made, then there's a trade to be made, if not, team will decide at some point if he's worth keeping. _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus

I tell you, if 5 years from now, Zubac has a major skyhook shot, and can contribute to a championship club, I will be frigging happy as is possible. _________________ Never argue with stupid people! They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience!! - Twain
Emplay..what do you think about LA's overall talent this year? I think they could have done better. Where is the athleticism?
Why do the Lakers sign players like Yi, Huertas, MWP, Calderon?
Arent there better options available? Thank you for your time.
They spent their real money on Clarkson, Deng and Mozgov - if you don't like those moves so be it. In Yi, they signed a player who would take a horrible contract (for the player) that makes him a very valuable trade asset.
The rest are cheap players, and the Lakers play well with Huertas - MWP won't last - Robinson fits what you're talking about but likely doesn't stick.
Lakers have kids galore - it's not what they need - they need adults who know how to play the game. Calderon can do that - plus they received 2 draft picks to take on his contract. _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus
Is there enough minutes to split at SF with Ingram, Deng and Swaggy P?
Or could P gets some minutes at SG. I just dont like Lou at that spot. I guess you could limit Deng to 20-25 and split the rest rest with Ingram and P. _________________
Nick likely gets minutes at SG over Lou, if he's out-playing him - or they play Deng or Ingram some at PF with guys like Randle/Nance going small ball center - all TBD _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus
Defensively he's way ahead of the game as a rookie - needs strength and experience but coming in a contributor on that end is a huge plus, because you can play him. If a player is behind on offense but ahead on D you're good for minutes. If he's awful on D and then also learning the O - that's problematic.
As far as on offense - good instincts but he has a ton to learn - he comes in with a nice shooting stroke, some footwork and playmaking - he's really nice rookie but he's still a rookie. _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus

Is the plan for Ingram constants of him being like Kahwai or Giannis in terms of comparison?
i mean the Lakers would be absolutely thrilled if he was a Kawhi or a Giannis, right? _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus
