He's played the 4 most of his life, so why not experiment with him there? It's obvious there are a lot of demands at the 5 position, with rebounding and rim protection being the two most important ones. Yes, he's tall and can gape the floor, but giving up the same amount of points on the other end makes it a zero sum game when he's out there. What are your thoughts? Shouldn't he just play the gape 4? He has the obvious size advantage, and he's mobile enough to depend multiple positions.

Not going to lie...as much as I want Yi on the team, I expected more out of him.

I would rather take the chance on T-Rob as the 14th-15th man

Sorry, what is a "gape" 4 or 5? Is this the same as a stretch 4 or 5?

Either or. I am getting the feeling that the bigs will be similar to the guards in Luke's system. There were be front court players. Not sure Center vs. PF is a huge distinction now.

I do like TRob's hustle, D and rebounding better than Yi, but he has no shot so he clogs the offense just like Randle and Black do.

SO, since Yi can hit an outside shot we keep him over TRob.

OR trade or wave Black and keep TRob who in my mind plays a lot like Black only better.

I don't know who or what that is. Are you referring to the Portland Trail Blazers?

He is terrible at any position. Not an NBA level player, imo.

Think of him as a trade exception in human form.

he is completely lost in the rotation, he has no idea where to go on offense. lakers did a terrible job of scouting him and now he is holding a spot for no good reason.

he didn't even get much burn in preseason, that shows how lost he truly is

On a serious note, there's a reason he's considered a bust and why he was out of the league for four years. I had very low expectations for Yi when he was signed. Being the best player in China has only meant something when that guy was named Yao Ming.

Same. I was pulling for him but Yi isn't playing like he wants to make the team. Maybe his shot's not working but haven't seen him attacking the glass or putting much effort in on defense.

If the lakers are really going to keep the best player that earned their spot on the team, they would keep Robinson.

Getting harder and harder to justify Yi over Robinson after last game. Bad time for a slump

1 of 2 from 3 point is a slump? That would mean DLO and Clarkson are down right pathetic. And they aren't.
