They probably will for September call ups. Not sure if they would start him though. _________________ |

If he comes back in 4 weeks, he would probably get enough starts/innings in to be in legitimate consideration for the award. But Scherzer will win it if their numbers are comparable like they are now. And I doubt we will be in any rush to send Kershaw out there with a huge lead in the division and the postseason being priority 1.
It is Scherzer's award to lose now. Unless Wood consistently puts in 7IP efforts at his current level down the stretch to give him enough innings, then an argument could be made for him.
It really sucks since Scherzer's bad outing in Arizona gave Kersh a decent lead in ERA. It felt like he was about to overtake him statistically (except for maybe Ks) along with his lead in the win column. _________________ |

As good as he's been, there's no way Wood even has a chance to win it. Haven't seen anyone talking about how he's been performing this season which is really unfortunate. |

The innings just aren't there since he started in the bullpen and hasn't gone deep into that many games. He still doesn't qualify for the ERA title. _________________ |

Yeah, that doesn't really make sense. Unless for some reason they're interested in Joc Pederson. _________________ |

I would be fine with that too. As long as we have a contingency plan for CF. Verdugo probably isn't ready yet and could be traded himself. Kike is good against lefties, but usually doesn't start against righties.
I'm starting to sour on Joc myself. He continues to look nothing like how he did pre-All Star break his rookie year the further along we go. _________________ |

I think Joc and and Alvarez or Calhoun gets it done for Darvish. |

Can taylor play center?
How about Bellinger in LF and Taylor in CF?
You know when AGon comes back he is getting some starts. As much as I do not want to see AGon pull Bellinger from 1b, I like AGon's bat in the lineup better then Joc. _________________ LA Sports Fans Forum |

I don't see why we wouldn't be interested in Britton. We're looking for bullpen arms, particularly lefty bullpen arms, and if available he'd be one of the best options. I think ultimately though the asking price will be too high and we will pass on him.
I think we will go after one or maybe even two of the other available bullpen arms: Justin Wilson, Pat Neshek, Brad Hand (if we can get SD to budge on their ridiculous asking price of Verdugo), Addison Reed, etc. _________________ |

In relation to Orioles scouts being at Dodger Stadium for this homestand, keep in mind that the Dodgers could have interest in not just Britton, but Brad Brach, too. I'd rather have Brach, actually. I just don't trust Britton's health. |
