*People behind the scenes* : "Roberts, we need a 'loss' to keep revenue going"

Roberts: "No worries, I'll put in Granderson, that ensures a loss for us"

Kershaw had enough rest and with the 2 recent outings he had, he should be pumped for tomorrow's game to prove himself.

It’s gonna be either Quintana or Lester on short rest tomorrow, so luckily Roberts won’t think about starting Ethier/Utley/Granderson/Grandal again. That combo was hot garbage. Back to the Game1/2 lineups so hopefully Culberson, Kiké, Barnes, and Forsythe give some quality at bats.

Kershaw needs to shed his "Chokeshaw" reputation in October. I'm optimistic he will tomorrow.

I thought he did that last year after the Washington series.

Kershaw tomorrow and to be honest he hasn't been his normal self lately. He barely went five innings in game 1.

He wasn’t bad in game 1. Was just okay and he was pulled because the team needed a pinch hitter and he likely wasn’t going past 6 innings. Wood made me more nervous tonight.

Damn 2-3-2 format ughhh! Please close them out tommorow.

Dave Roberts better channel his inner Phil Jackson and have our boys ready to destroy and conquer in Game 5.

Take no chances please.

Not gonna lie I’m a little worried about these Cubbies.
Didnt they come back down 0-3 to the Indians last season in the World Series?

Time to dominate Dodgers!

Maddon is going to have to either find someone else in his bullpen he can trust other than Davis or use both Quintana and Lester tomorrow.

No. Indians were up 3-1 and couldn't close it.

3-1. Only Boston has come back from 3-0 against the Yankees in 04.

To lose tomorrow with Kershaw on the mound would not be good at all though.

Coming back from 0-3 has only been done once in the MLB.....The 2004 Red Sox.

Kershaw is 0-4 against the Cardinals in the playoffs. He has done much better against other teams. He has had some clutch starts that people forget about. When he has a bad moment people quickly point the finger at him because he has been labeled a choker.

He also had a couple of his worst starts that happened because he was constantly on 3 days rest and finally ran out of gas. He hasn’t pitched on 3 days rest in this postseason.

Thank you Sir for clarifying that. I’ve been too busy worrying about Brandon Ingram struggling I forgot to sharpen up my Dodgers and overall MLB knowledge lololol

Coming back from 3-1 is still really clutch though. I’m hoping Roberts reminds them these Cubbies ain’t going to go out without a fight. Gotta dominate early in Game 5!

Grandal actually did well drawing walks. I think you mean Ethier. All the 36+ guys stunk it up.

Worst possible outcome of Bellinger's at-bat.

The team let the Cubs off the hook tonight. Let's send a major league lineup out tomorrow night, eh?

Just as I was thinking he was showing good discipline at the plate for taking those two balls he hits into that double-play.

Yeah. You're right. Grandal at least got on base. Ethier not so much.

He was the reason why they came back....I thought he would've been more aggressive managing this game considering he knows how desperate a team that is on the ropes is.

Only Granderson can strike out twice in one at-bat.

Was hoping for the sweep, but not surprised that the cubs won one. And watching Wood's velocity, this was going to be the guy that the cubs needed to get in order to survive. Even though the Dodgers were terrible offensively, they still were right there in the end. Kershaw on normal rest will keep the Dodgers in the game. The question is whether Quintana will match him. Dodgers will need to clinch it tomorrow.

Agreed, but except for his first week here Granderson has been a complete bust, I sure hope he does not play any this year and RETIRES, his stupid Pete-Rose batting stance does not allow him to make contract with "strikes"...

Having Ethier & Granderson back to back really killed any momentum we could get last night. They were both pretty easy outs, Dre kept swinging at low balls, and Curtis was just comical.

I feel good about game 5, likely to be against a left handed pitcher so the lineup should be a bit more like the one we've had more success with so far.
