From what I heard on the post game show on rhe radio, he has one more start. They were saying it would be like a tuning game for him.
Also Ryu would get one more start to see if he will be in the playoff line up. Maeda will be moved to the pen and Ryu will be the emergency starter. |

LAkers 4 Life wrote: | So does anyone know of the other things that Puig has done lately to piss off Dave Roberts? Last night's stolen base attempt that ended the game was inexcusable. But other than that, I can't think of anything that he's done recently that was a stupid baseball move. | If you remember the kind of player Roberts used be and the way he played the game that's pretty much all you need to do to get on his bad side. Doc has had Puig's back and has help empower him to play freely, which I think has led to him playing up to his potential for the first time in a few years.
Inexcusable is definitely the word.
Number one to steal in that situation is fine (if you're certain you can make the play), not exactly a road scholar move, but Doc mentioned in the post game he has given Yasiel carte blanche to make plays like that if he's confident he can make them.
Number two, and what compounded the situation, was the fact that he didn't slide there. That's what ticked Roberts off the most IMO.
I'm hoping they'll have a face to face meeting to hash it out. Not a fan of communicating through media to make a point to your players.
(unless you're handing out books and peyote)
I'm the biggest Robert's defender you'll find, but I'm also a big fan of Puig, and I'm not so stoked about his handling of this situation to be honest.
Kind of reminds me eerily of Phil playing mind games with LO (who made his fair share of boneheaded plays as well) in a strange way. Telling media in the pregame that he wants to put players out there he can trust is not going to help Puig understand anything. It can't have a positive affect on him IMO, it can only hurt him and his progression.
Bench him for a game or two, I agree with that, let him think about the mistake he made. But sit him down and have a closed door meeting as well, instead of sending him indirect signals through the media.
We have enough problems right now the last thing we need is for Puig to revert back to the Puig who wasn't playing well under Mattingly's regime. _________________ 16 and counting.... |

I believe we hold the tiebreaker over them by taking the season series over them so that may loom large. |

Yeah, the Dodgers won the series 2-1. So if they tie we win the tiebreaker. |

Question for you guys. One of my friends that goes to the games with me only has 1 jersey and its a Kemp jersey. He always wears it to the games. Is this weird since Kemp is still in the league on another team? |

^Not weird at all, Kemp spent 11 years in the organization since the time he was drafted, I'll always look back favorably to his time as #27 here, especially the year he should've won the MVP.
Btw, (bleep) Ryan Braun. |

Thanks for the answer. I always felt that as long as the player is still in the league on another team then it just felt a bit weird. Once Kemp retires from baseball then it would feel more than okay for me. In fact I would start to wear my Kemp jersey to the games as well once he is retired from Baseball.
Just like I still have Gasol jersey but I would not wear it to the Lakers games until he retires from the nba. |

Indians lose, Dodgers could put some space between them and get closer to clinching home field for the WS. |

Looks like they are getting there mojo back winning 5 of last 6. Good night for Seager. Let's hope he can keep it going the last 4 games of season. Things are starting to click again. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Just checked the prices. They're not bad at all for a playoff game. I will probably hit up Saturday's game. |

The only magic number I care about is the magic number when the playoffs start. |

Thinking back to last year, the first round was pretty affordable. 2nd round they spike up dramatically |

Apparently the Dodgers are seriously considering putting Wood in the bullpen for the playoffs, and starting Hill as the #3 starter and putting Ryu into the rotation in Wood's place.
I think that would be a mistake. The team almost always wins when Wood starts. Unless his velocity is down dramatically or something and he looks horrible, I think this is over-thinking things. |
