I'm shocked. ESPN is usually fair to the Lakers...
How are we worse than the Nets? |

Probably just based off what they saw in pre-season, which wasn't exactly the best example of what the team should be able to do.. _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings

(bleep) it - get the #1 pick, dominate the 2020s. The rest of the NBA can then proceed to suck it as the Lakers get championships 17-20. |

That's absurd. The Lakers did more then enough to warrant more then 24 wins. Chemistry was good through out the PS and Luke was using different line ups, how is that based on the preseason? |

Why doesn't this surprise me?
I just hope Luke gets a few more wins than expected as he's developing this team. I think the first half of the season we'll play right into this prediction, and the second half of the season we'll make them look real stupid. We'll see. |

Sad that I'm not surprised. Not because it's ESPN but because we actually suck. |

Is what it is. I've always expected a slow start to the season. But I think we'll finish stronger in the second half and finish somewhere between 30-35 wins. |

The only way this happens is if Brooklyn, Philly, Orlando, and Miami are all nearly equally terrible and split their head-to-head games. The West would also need to be much better than the East. |

Yeah, but more than the Sixers without Simmons or a decent healthy guard? More than the Nets with Brook Lopez parked behind the 3pt line all game? More than the Suns coached by Earl Watson (bless his Bruin heart)? |

I would possibly have the Sixers over us if they were healthy. But no Simmons/Bayless is big _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' With Lou starting and/or playing a significant role? You can count on 24 wins or less. |

Orlando and Miami will be chasing a playoff slot if they are healthy. |

What have the Lakers shown that makes them suck? Considering we competed against Denver/Portland/Phoenix? Lakers actually made me a more believer after the preseason.

6-21 is a reasonably optimistic start, with the schedule. Would need to win at a 3-for-7 rate after that for 30 wins. 1-for-3 is more likely. |

They usually looked like a hot mess. The offense didn't work well - when it worked at all - and the defense was horrendous.
They were 2-6 and ranked 28th in the league during the preseason. _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings

lol, if there are people who still don't think ESPN has agenda to use the Lakers as click bait, they've been living in a cave. |

This is more or less what I'd expect too. They're still young, they're implementing a new offense, they're playing defense for the first time in 3 years and most of them don't know how, and they're very inexperienced.
I expect the learning will continue through the entire season, and they'll be playing better as time goes on.
It's likely to be really, really brutal early in the season though
30-32 wins +/- 5 is about my range _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings
