It's funny how BSPN and even 2K17 were worshipping at the altar of the Timberwolves - It's still early in the season, but we already played a harder schedule and are doing better.

If you're rebuilding around Harrison Barnes your future isn't going to look very bright. The Mavs have just been stringing together over the hill players for the past 5 years to barely squeak into the playoffs and get their asses handed to them they should've just pulled the plug years ago but much like what we did with Kobe they can't rebuild till Dirk retires.

No they are not. BSPN is a bunch of left wing hacks who always took the Spurs and blacked out Kobe highlights.

Good post. Same applies to the Grizzles basically. Questionable max contracts to Chandler and Conley will keep them in basketball mediocrity for years to come. In comparison, Mozgov and Deng have reasonable contracts, so Lakers have a great deal of flexibility in the future. It's possible the Lakers finish with a better record than those two ball clubs this season.

If that's the case they can sneak into the playoffs. Which I'll give coach of the year honors to Luke if he pulls that off.

They jumped the gun there. Twolves have work to do, but they'll get there. Wiggins and Lavine have lots of bad habits to unlearn. Towns is already a championship caliber player. They desperately need Rubio back, as Dunn's inexperience is showing.

Sometimes the apparent data used for predictions is misleading. Even my 35 win prediction may be an underestimation.

ESPN is not infallible.

If you're going to insult someone's intelligence, always best not to misspell the insult. You could come off looking buffoonish...

Currently a 47 win pace. I wanted 35-41 and was being extremely optimistic. I did think if healthy we would get 30 wins.

As I was saying anything less than 30 I would be bummed.
This team with the young guys being a year older, some vets brought in and a head coach who actually knows how to run a team at a high level will go a long way.

+15 wins is realistic.

Based on the talent and the progress of the chemistry, this team will win at least in the mid to upper 40's if healthy.

Without Mozgov's injury in Indiana they would likely have won that game. Luke getting to know his rotation and then tightening it is key also. This team would have been on an even better pace and someone would have to repair the prediction computer.

"ESPN projects"....translation:
"We the experts are unable to determine the value of a coach who will teach offense and defense to a lot of very talented young players.

We were looking the other way when each of the young players dedicated their whole summer to honing their craft together, unlike most NBA players.

We don't recognize a player's ability to show more than minute improvement from year to year.

We don't believe it's possible for players who want to be great to achieve it before their prime.

Team chemistry doesn't register in our book.

Subtracting dead weight and adding talent could add 1 or 2 wins to your total.

Based on our expertise, you are projected to keep your top 3 pick next season."
