Metta World Peace loves basketball and the Lakers have won three straight games (scoring 113 points per 100 possessions), including two of the best wins any team has had this season. They won in Atlanta on Wednesday and then thumped the Warriors in the dreaded first home game after a road trip. Lou Williams ranks second on the team in scoring and assists, while averaging less than 24 minutes off the bench. His effective field goal percentage and true shooting percentage are both career-high marks. |

We don't recognize a player's ability to show more than minute improvement from year to year.
We don't believe it's possible for players who want to be great to achieve it before their prime.
Team chemistry doesn't register in our book.
Subtracting dead weight and adding talent could add 1 or 2 wins to your total.
Based on our expertise, you are projected to keep your top 3 pick next season." |
Can't it just be a good thing that the Lakers are exceeding expectations through the first 12 days of the season?
ESPN has been very consistent in OVERrating the recent Lakers teams so I wish everyone would stop acting like ESPN projections are written for the sole purpose of sabotaging the team.
If the Lakers continue to surprise people, that means more hype, more viewership, higher ratings, and ESPN has more bank deposits. ESPN is loving this. |

I'm surprised ESPN hasn't said Byron for his opinion of the team. |

ESPN projections are about as useful as 538 presidential polls. _________________ Station where the act becomes the art of growing up. |

I think you'll be laughing about it by the end of Jan.
Then again, this team is exceeding ALL of our expectations so far this year. So maybe we should be laughing in the mirror. |

To be fair, they are like 4-4 with 4 homeruns in their last 4 at bats. =) |

Well no not if they're saying that will have the fewest wins in the NBA. That's not even the case right now there are six other teams that have less wins than we do. So as of right now ESPN is incorrect. And we shall see how things shake down by the end of the season. |

We're going on a second half run & finish with at least 30 wins. |

I'd sincerely believe that statement if we were healthy. I love this team when we're healthy. I knew Deng would eventually play better. I simply think he was out of basketball shape.
Now D'Lo is having knee issues which is affecting his play. And, arguably my favorite Laker Nance Jr is out. Again, if healthy I'd believe that statement. |

The nets and Sixers are almost locks at 1 and 2 worst records. I think we will be in a fight for that third spot with the Suns and Heat. |
