Looks that way but that's definitely not my intention it's really just me coming to realize that yes DLo has his short comings but if we look at him with realistic eyes he's progressing well enough we're we shouldn't just rush to replace him as a PG and instead make a better effort at surrounding him with talent that will help maximize his PG skills.

So for me I'm just not sure Lonzo is such an upgrade at PG to justify changing DLo's role.

A lot of posters, including me, have thought for a while that Ball fits best in an off ball role in the half court, and having DLO out there getting ball screens will be crucial to easing his transition to the league. Ball will probably be called he pg anyway, which is fine, but he didn't even really play a pure point role at UCLA and NBA stylistically is a different animal than college.

Yes, that is why I think they fit well offensively

Why would we?

Because he's our future star. People's stupidity is unreal.

Tell me about it.

it is crazy to not want to trade for George if he goes elsewhere he could never come

then get someone else, what's the rush?

"Someone else" was Mozgov and Deng.

Shiny toy syndrome

Went from DRAFT #2 pick to TRADE #2 pick for PG. Yet all you have to do is simply wait and you can obtain both. Human emotions...

last time PG was shiny was 2013

We'd actually heard players say publicly they'd play for the Lakers now.

Trading 2 picks, Deng and JC is similar to Melo? Uhhh, no.

I also think they'd fit well offensively but primarily on the perimeter since both are good outside shooters but neither is particularly strong at attacking the rim. Though DLo can at least get to the free throw level and use his pull up.

That offensive potential reminds me of Lillard and CJ. Which isn't bad by any means. But obviously we'd need to build around them effectively to rise of just being another Trailblazer squad.

If you add George for a package of either clarkson or randle and picks and then pick ball we actually have a chance to be decent next year and be in a great spot to get other free agents. It is stupid to pass this chance up. The main pieces stay untouched but if you could get George without 2, Ingram or Russell, zubac and nance you got yourself a good team

Yes PG last year when Mitch and Jim were still here. Though if I remember correctly, it was going to LA.

This is a good trade. Or Clarkson, Brewer and 2 picks. We can figure out Deng and Mozgovs contracts later.

Right now he doesn't want to be traded to LA. Right now he just wants to come as a free agent after next year. It doesn't matter if he is traded to Cleveland because he doesn't want to live in Cleveland or anywhere else. He want to live in LA and be a Laker in 2018-2019. At least that's what he's saying.

I think Cleveland might do the trade anyways so that they can add another piece after Paul George leaves for LA. If not they will be stuck with Love for two more years @$25 million per. I think if they keep Love and lose to GSW again then LeBron will leave.

It would be stupid to make that trade.

#1 Paul George doesn't want to be traded to the Lakers. He intends to sign as a free agent after the season.

#2 Adding Paul George doesn't make the Lakers a contender this year.

Draft Jackson. This team needs toughness, grit, and defense.

Clarkson/P. Mills
Russell/Jackson
Ingram/Young/Brewer
Deng/Randle/Nance
Mozgov/Zubac/Black

#28

Realistically what we would be looking at. I know Young and Black are not guaranteed, I'm just assuming here. We are capped out here for sure.

Now we look to package either Deng or Mozgov. It's our only hope.

Randle/Clarkson/#28/Young/Black/Brewer/Deng/Mozgov. Make something happen.

Looking at that lineup (with JJ in the bench as well), I dont think I can handle an unintentional tank year. Especially since our pick can end up going to Boston.
