I just feel with our culture change, riding the wave of the late season win streak and the addition of our franchise player Lonzo Ball we're going to surprise some people this year.

The player that Lonzo gets compared to the most, Jason Kidd improved the Mavs by 20 wins in his rookie year. And like Lonzo, he took his previously mediocre team and improved them by 10+ wins. Just shows if youre good enough, you can have an impact on the W column even as a rookie.

Our Ball boy will transform this team like he did with UCLA.

Wait, if we win 40 games with or without PG13, are you saying we don't need him?

I am still on record with 49 wins as my prediction, but losing Dlo makes us worse temporarily imo. So 40+ seems about right.

Has he ever been on a team that didn't beat expectations significantly? Our savior is here.

Injuries killed that from happened when the team was hot and on a roll.

We have had a few humbling years and it has dug in to our psyche. It has changed the way we make predictions. Go back to the arrogant Laker fan psyche. I think that is how we will end up at the end of the season.

I don't know man, for all their faults, Lou Williams and Young played well last season and was a big part of our 10-10 start. We upgraded our center position with Lopez, but can Alonzo Ball as a 19 yr old rookie put up similar stats as Dlo? So as of now, it all hinges on how much Ingram and Randle step up their games, potentially this is a worst team than last year.

Very happy we got Lonzo, but he's 19. Ingram's still 19. This team would be lucky to win 30. We are severely discounting the massive perimeter scoring vacuum left by trading Lou/DLO, and not bringing back Swaggy. That's like 50 ppg right there.

We're in trouble if this roster stays as is. We got even younger, and lost what was our best player. If they are expecting Lopez to be the man next year, it's going to be a long season.

I agree. Some fans need to relax.

Look at the Western Conference. Teams ahead of us got better.

We had the third worse record in the NBA. If the Suns did not blatantly tanked, we would have the worse record in the West.

Twolves are stronger.

Pelicans will have Cousin for the whole season.

Lakers will not reach 40.

This type of unreal expectation is what got some of the fanbase turned against DLO. I'm feeling the same sort of unreal vibes again. Let's not do this to Lonzo.

We'll win about 34 games.

Lonzo will make an immediate impact. Ingram and Zubac will continue to progress. Lopez will give us a low post threat.

We didnt have a single above average starter last year, not a single one. The whole team played no defense and were inconsistent offensively.

I think weve upgraded at 4 positions this season.
Lopez finally gets someone who is league average or above average at his position as a starter
Randle/Ingram are better versions of themselves
And the underrated part of this is LONZO. This guy is a one man system, he simply makes the team better. Thats a talent, age has nothing to do with it. Rookie JKidd, Rookie Magic. They werent too young to make their teams significantly better. I feel Lonzo will be the same. I think Dangelo will be a fine player, but he has no physical advantages and the intangibles to help you win clearly arent there. Lonzo will be an upgrade even as a rookie.

We do lack some scoring on the wings, but thats what the 18m in caproom is for. If youre a shooter wouldnt you take a 1 year deal to play with Lonzo and maximise your value under the bright lights.

40 wins without PG. Quietly confident we are done with getting punked as a team
